Usyk who is arguably the best boxer would have no bearing on talking about Lerena ,why would it ? We’re talking about a severe mismatch no one would want and an absolute fight you can’t sell unlike another puncher .

The point is Warrens once again putting him against light opposition before a potential big fight ,it cost him against Joyce . Usyk is far from a big money fight compared to the others even with belts he holds . Warren continues to make safety first fights with DDD , not so much Joyce that’s telling and why Joyce is exceeding DDD in progress .

Your only can generate interest winning important fights , I can tell you defeating Lerena does zero for DDDs profile , Usyk vs DDD would a hard struggle to sell unless Usyk himself gets more noteriety to carry it . Kossobutskiy is a legit top 15 boxer , I can’t even remember when DDD fought one and got a win ?

Not many realising this. Plenty wrote Dubois off after the Joyce defeat - now it looks a halfway decent performance for a young fighter.

Except it's not about improving his profile at this point it's about fighting a southpaw at the professional level before fighting the champion who happens to be a southpaw himself. Believe me I don't like DuBois I think he will be blasted out by any of the top dogs, but since he has his WBA trinket he is in line for Usyk so the fight against Lerena could be worse. I don't believe DuBois has faced a single southpaw as a professional before but correct me if I'm wrong.
