I have always said that Don King was not good to his fighters but he really put a string of good PPV events that were stacked.

He owned the late 80s to the mid 90s with stellar cards. You would get 4 fights and all of them cracking good matchups

Trash, from top to bottom. On paper you know who wins every fight. Not a fight on the card that excites. These are all showcase fights for the PPV price. The PBC goon pretending to be excited is just hilarious.

I was so used to seeing stacked cards that the ones now are disappointing. The undercards are more like showcases.

You knew a Tyson fight might be over in a round but the undercard was worth watching.

Mate his ppvs were legendary. I think it has to do with the immense money spent on the main events these days. Even the JC superstar cards were stacked because Chavez wasn’t being paid 40m paydays. But even when Holyfield and Tyson were fighting and making legendary money, the whole world would buy those ppvs and boxing was covered by local news channels in the usa. Boxing was in a better position then than it is now
