Without dipping my toe into the message boards and other fan forums since the final bell of his fight with Juan Manuel Marquez Saturday night/Sunday morning, I can pretty much assume that as a prevailing sentiment.

But you know what?

He's a real-life Satan incarnate who can, ahem... fight like hell.

In pitching an absolute, complete and comprehensive shutout of Marquez – the critics' pre-comeback choice as the world's No. 2 fighter – in his first ring action since 2007, the Pretty Boy now known as "Money" has answered one question with dominant certainty.

He, and not Manny Pacquiao or any other 21-month stand-in, is the world's best fighter.

Don't believe it?

Watch the tape. Or re-watch it, as the case may be.

And over the course of 36 minutes, find me one thing that says otherwise.

One flaw. One error.

Next year we should get Mayweather vs Cotto if not Mayweather Mosley by the end of the year/Christmas time!

The obvious truth now is that mayweather will have to fight the welters now. No excuses left no more gimmicks just fighting the best plain and simple. We all know that he needs the money so in order to demand top dollar and sell ppv he will have to step it up now. There is no one besides manny pac that he can fight that is smaller and doesnt pose much risk. So the great thing is that we will all soon enough see him in there in some tough ass fights. On shane mosley i think he needs to stop being a ***** and just fight. If he is so damn good than why did he duck paul williams and joshua clottey. Go ahead mosley fight berto who is still green. Lets all be fair if we give it to money may and right fully so lets give it to shane. Its no ones fault shane that u cant sell ppv or seats. No ones fault that you got divorced and are broke. You ducked floyd years ago when he was up and coming at light weight. Hell you evan cheated and used steroids. You lost fairly to cotto just recentlly and you knocked margarito out only after cotto softned him up for you. So we say shane is the man but lets really think about it. If shane struggled with cotto who will know has alot of cracks in his armor why do we think an older version of shane who was losing to mayorga would beat money may, granted floyd will not look sharp but nonetheless he will win.

Fainess from the pacman critic to pacman and his disciples

While i have criticised manny for being a hype job (true by the way in welter weight & jr welter) i am going to give him praise tonight. Manny is a terrific and exciting fighter. He has excited alot of people into the sport and is a good humble family man who sets a good example. My critisism of pacman has been that he does not belong at welter weight and that i think catch weights are bull ****. As seen this past weekend on hbo money mayweather showed why there are weight classes. I am a boxing addict and true fan and i want to see the best fights with the fighters at their best. I know that these fight sell and generate lots of money and excite fans but no more catch weight s please. With that said i have to praise pacman for stepping in with miguel cotto. Hell i am the biggest money may fan their is but money has not wanted to evan think about cotto. Of mosley and cotto i think cotto poses the most threat to money and pacman is taking him on. When it is said and done win or lose pacman i praise you for your guts, your cojones for making fights happen. Would love to see manny fight the top guys at jr . Welter weight. Lots of competition there but i think manny has the skills to clean house. As for welter weight or catch weight fights manny learn from marquez and in the future stay away. Manny your greatness would come from cleaning house at 140 and not anything u do at 147 or around that weight. Manny would love to see you in with marquez.
