    What Happened; and My Thoughts!

Seriously, what happened with the fight? Ive been on Vacation and havent been able to get to the net, nor was I able to see the fight. I was watching ESPN some. I missed the weigh-in but turned in just after to see that Floyd was 146. I also watched the round by round from Atlas on ESPN.

Without seeing the fight, it was bitter sweet for me. I heard alot of analyst say that Floyd looked great but when Atlas described the round by round, I was shocked that Floyd wasnt more aggressive. Was it from the rust or is he truly just not going to engage anymore? Atlas made it sound like he was doing good but mostly just jabbing & pot shotting. Is that true? If it is then I would be happy to see him look great but dissapointed to see that he didnt fight more. I just knew that he would be more aggressive with a guy who wasnt way bigger than him like normal. I see alot of people saying that they dont see anyone his size beating him but without seeing the fight, I think Cotto, Mosley, and possibly Pac could give him hell if he's going to pot shot for the rest of his career.

I see alot of people talking about the size advantage and from the clips I saw on ESPN, he did look a good amount bigger than JMM but the catch is that I also saw them show the post fight interview with Floyd on stage and GBP behind him and Mosley looked atleast 1 and maybe 2 weight classes bigger than Floyd. Thats his problem. He gets no credit because he looked too big for JMM and now people are calling him a full fledge WW but if you saw that post figt stuff that wasnt in the ring then you could see that Mosley was clearly bigger while Floyd looked real narrow in his clothes. I honestly beleive that Shane looks at Floyd and thinks that he can break him in half. I think all the WW's do when they see him in person. BTW, I saw them ask Floyd a question about what happened with him & Shane in the ring. What happened?

How did Floyd look, how did JMM look, how would Floyd fare against Pac, how would Floyd fare against the WW's, was Floyd just pot shotting again, and tell me any other thoughts that you had.

Lets just say, Mayweather put on a MASTERFUL performance and looked GREAT. Also "THE JAB" is back, Floyd Sr got Mayweather to jab alot more.

they'll replay the fight next week on HBO...

some fat, slow mexican borrowed Marquez's trunks and got in the ring against a floyd that didnt seem to have any rust on him...he was picked apart...he was outclassed but he was not put away

he might have thrown, id say, about 4 combos the entire fight...it was pretty much one quick punch at a time...even when JMM got dropped, Floyd wasn't engaging the fat marquez impostor

            mostly single shots.

very few combos..which would have been good to see....but marquez was always attempting to counter, so that didn't allow floyd to really sit down and throw combos without the chance of being caught by return fire.
with the exception of a couple of grazing right hands frommarquez...it was defensively a flawless performance by floyd.

too big, too strong, too good.

IDK, I just dont know if Floyd can beat a big skillful guy fighting that way or it will most likely be close. I thought he would get back to more combos but I guess not. Not even combos so much but just letting his hands go more but he's not. You could say that against Mosley he would have an even less output because of the size & power coming from Mosley but maybe it will be cancled out by the fact that Shane would be much more aggressive than Juan which would give Floyd more chances to counter. I cant tell without seeing it

Mayweather may have dominated and wasnt really fighting for the KO, even though Marquez was clearly at the disadvantage...but man, after him being gone for so long, hes pretty amazing to watch live.

the guy is really just incredibly talented. like watching Whitaker or JCC fight...just a master at work.

I wouldnt miss one of his fights regardless of who he fought.
