Mikaela Mayer believes she has the edge in experience in her upcoming showdown with rival Alycia Baumgardner. The two have been trading harsh words for months on social media.

W vs Ewa Brodnicka UD 10 (20-0, had 6 WBO title defenses at 130 then lost the belt on the scale before the Mayer fight)
W vs Erica Farias UD 10 (26-4, coming off two losses to McCaskill but a two division titlist with 13 successful defenses)
W vs Maiva Hamadouche UD 10 (22-1, reigning IBF champion with 8 defenses, unification, vacant Ring Magazine title fight)
W vs Jennifer Han UD 10 (18-4-1-3, had 4 IBF title defenses at 126, moved up and lost to Katie Taylor and then back down to lose to Mayer)
Baumgardner vs world titlits:
L vs Christina Linardatou SD 8 (9-1, won a title in her next fight, one defense, lost it to Katie Taylor; previous loss came to Delfine Persoon)
W vs Terri Harper TKO 4 (11-0-1, reigning WBC/IBO 130 champion, 2 successful WBC defenses; later won a WBA belt at 154)
W vs Edith Soledad Matthysse UD 10 (16-11-1, coming off a 3 year layoff and a loss, missed weight)
I'd have to agree that Mayer has faced the better competition. Farias and Hamadouche are the two best fighters on this list.
Mayer will dominate this fight, after Katie Taylor Mikaela mayer is the best at 130 to 140. Hopefully mayer will go up to 135 and fight Katie Taylor in early 2023. The coward serrano appears to not want the Katie rematch. Let's hope Taylor doesn't give it to her now. Katie vs Mikaela is the biggest fight in 2023
since when did competition and experience determine a fight outcome - it's skills on the day. Martinez hadn't fought anyone before beating ancajas. Kombosos had iffy wins before beating Lopez. Opetaia ditto vs Breidis - the list goes on and on.
Personally I think Mayer is probably juicing - she used to have a cute girlish face couple years ago and a slimmer body - now she has bulked up and her face has changed to have a hard look - not so feminine. (i know, that is subjective but that's what i see)
so based on that I'm backing Mayer to come strong the later rounds.
