Mayweather fought a 36 year old Marquez, but you want him to fight 39 year old Shane?

Are you kidding? Baldomir is slow, is smaller than mosley, and def isn't as strong or skilled as mosley. Mosley would've had a field day beating his ass.

Marquez is absolutely to the point where his age is affecting him, you could see that at lightweight. And 39 year old Shane Mosley is the best or second best, depending on what you think of him vs. Cotto, welterweight in the world. No excuses, if Floyd beats the best or second best welterweight in the world, he gets all the credit entitled with it.

And I'm sorry, but what possible comparison is there between 36 year lightweight Juan Manuel Marquez and Shane Mosley other than Mosley being older?

This is among the ******est things I've ever read in my entire life. 39 year old Mosley right now would beat Baldomir at whatever his best was. Congratulations daggum, this will surely be in someone's signature.

Apparently they're saying he's in great shape..that's all I've read lately..and heard actually from video interviews..but nothing specific on weight..and I agree bro..he better come in great shape..and be ready for 12!!..

I'm in full support of Cristobal..but he can't sleep on this one..he better have laid it all in that training if he plans to have a chance in there!..

You could see that at lightweight? He got hit against Casamayor, who is pretty much always accurate, and Juan Diaz has the +/- connect percentage compubox stat next to Mayweather. He was fighting tough fighters

Marquez slowed a little at 135, but that's also because he was fighting at a higher weight class too.

Marquez's age has not made him past his prime to where he can't win. Hell I'd even argue at age 36, Mosley seemed at a worse off spot with his career.

You do a good ChampBox@PR impersonation.

I'm not saying he shouldn't fight mosley. I'm saying marquez shouldn't be criticized for being 36 and being too old

How many career featherweights have still been world class at 36, besides Marquez? Diaz did have a very good +/- %, before Campbell, but against mostly limited or shot competition, and hasn't been the same since that fight. Marquez has declined to a point where I'm not even sure he could beat Malignaggi.

Also Shane just turned 38, looked poor for most of the fight with a shot Mayorga, was killing himself to make LW for some time before he moved up, and is a lot bigger man than JMM. Larger fighters generally tend to fight later in age.

Personally I'd rather see Floyd fight Cotto than Mosley, but anyone with a pulse north of LW would be just fine, as long as he doesn't make them come up in weight.
