Mike Tyson vs. Francois Botha

I believe that was his first fight back after suspension. Things were not really going his way in the fight, and his mechanics and timing seemed off. But he stuck to his tactics, and then produced a awesome knock-out blow.
That knock out punch was highly sophisticated. That punch displayed the variation and range of Mike Tyson's power.
The punch only traveled a very short distance, but generation masses of power.
Deontay Wilder's power in comparisons does not have that type of range, once you close the range down on his punches. And force him to operate in a closer range, his power effectiveness decreases.
That is why overall yes Wilder hits with serious power. But his overall offense, is not the best offense of all times.
There have been many fighters with big power, but they have a great variation in their punches. And a vast range of effectiveness.
But don't misunderstand me, in today's game? Wilder has a effective and very dangerous offense. He is competing against fighters who don't want to close his range, or don't really have elite level inside game.
There are not many fighters active today, who would fights Wilder they Fury did. But there may be plenty of fighters who can take rounds off him, and out box him from mid to long range 'But this is also the danger zone, where Wilder's power his most effective'
That is why it will be interesting to see how Usyk would fight Wilder. Still currently right now, nobody knows Wilder's form.
Just imagine if Wilder had Mike Tyson's range of effectiveness? Fury was all over the place in their third fight. I have always been adamant, if Wilder could of just come straight down the middle with his punches 'He for sure would of decked Fury more times that he already did'. Tyson Fury is a game fighter on the inside, but I think he makes mistakes.
