Has A Fighter Ever Started 0-7 In Title Fights Before?

Because Rocky Juarez is 0-6, I wonder if a fighter has beat that mark or even tied it before. Good fighter who just fought great competition.

    Title Fight losses
    1. Humberto Soto
    2. Marco Antonio Barrera
    3. Marco Antonio Barrera
    4. Juan Manuel Marquez
    5. Chris John
    6. Chris John

Makes me wonder what Jerry Quarry's title fight record was.

He had a murderer's row of bad ass champs to deal with.

He was known as one of the best fighters to never win a championship.

Juarez is a really good fighter. Just that the opposition he faced was too tough and he steps on the gass late, correction, too late.

You wonder if he should get another shot. In my opinion, Juarez vs Elio Rojas at 126. That would be a really good test for Elio Rojas, see what Rojas is made of. I know that it is a title shot but good test for Rojas.

I feel bad for Juarez. The guy had the unfortune of being around during a time with many truly world class featherweights.

He fought for the title once. Though the NYSAC and NABF titles were probably more of a big deal back then.
