Colombian boxer brain dead

Seems to have escaped this site, but very sad to hear that Colombian junior welter Luis Quiñones has been declared brain dead after his fight with Jose Muñoz in Baranquilla last weekend. He was put down by a jab in the 8th round, but moments before that he lost his gumshield and was struggling to keep his balance as he walked to a neutral corner. He was taken to hospital with a blood clot on the brain, but has deteriorated since then. He was ten fights unbeaten previously.

No one mentioned him prior to his injury.
