Of course. This fight has been long overdue. Shane mosley is the number 1 rated welterweight. Floyd mayweather is the so called best p4p boxer in the world (or among the best) and he fights in the welterweight division. Am i missing something?

The percentage of the fans on this site and around the world usually get things right, they usually predict if things are gonna happen, Like Mayweather coming out of retirement!! And many other things...

only way this fight comes off is if HBO gives floyd a list of opponents with only Mosley's name on it.

Only way it doesn't happen is if Shane gets beat by Berto and even then Floyd may just wanna put some hurt on him for all the chatter. I honestly think it will happen though but Pac/Cotto winner is the priority I think that fight is more likely to pull new fans to the sport.

I don't think too many companies/promoters want to lose money to give Floyd his paycheck. I can't see how Mayweather-Mosley would generate enough revenue to satisfy Floyd given how obsessed he is with money and posessions. Us boxing fans want to see it, yeah. But how many casual people would lay down $50, especially after a lot of people were bored by Mayweather-Marquez?

I haven't seen that fight BTW, and I'm sure it won't bore me when I do. But casual people like to see a brawl with blood, guts, and knockouts, at least as far as I can tell. Two guys who are rarely hurt? Not good. One guy who doesn't have a huge following? Not much better. True, the Mayweather haters would pony up, but would that be enough? I just can't see that happening.

But I hope I'm proven wrong, because I think it's a fight that should happen before Shane gets much older than he is.

Well, Mayweather-Mosley seems a little more possible considering the fact that uncle Bob wants nothing to do with may, especially since they are both greedy... It's still to early to say if the may-mos fight is going to happen anytime soon...
