Thoughts on Olrando "el Fenomeno" Cruz @ Numero Uno Undercard

I didnt had the chance to see his fight. According to boxrec he was dropped in round one and five,....

so.. he was knocked down twice and came back to win by TKO.

    any thoughts on him?

    uh he lost by tko

he went down hard in one, was stumbling around the ring holding onto Lock, and survived then went down from a beautiful right hook

It was a good little scrap. When one guy landed something good, the other came right back with a shot.

I just think Cruz doesn't have enough pop. He hit Lock a few a times and it really didn't do much; but it looked like Lock stunned him a few times, other than the knock downs. Also, it didn't help that Lock was a good three inches taller.

The KO wasn't his fault really. He threw a right hook, and had his left up to protect himself; it's just that Lock threw a right hook and it caught on the little piece of his face that was exposed. He got up, but the ref called it off.

He'd probably be better off going down a weight class, if he can manage it.

He was trying to counterpunch lock and take advantage of locks wild swings, but the left hand over the top, he simply couldnt stop it. he often times let lock get distance on him and he followed him around the ring and got dressed up several times. On the punch that knocked him out it was a case of a punch that he didint see coming. The guy really needs to work on either learning to cut off the ring and fight on the inside, or some type of defensive posture to where he can be comfortable at the center of the ring with a guy thats bigger than him

He got careless, he threw an uppercut that could have dropped lock but the uppercut missed. Lock countered with a right and dropped him. That was a VERY entertaining fight. That fight was better then the Katsidis/ John vs Juarez fight.
