Mayweather confirms UFC fighters don’t hit hard

In a recent interview about his negotiations with McGregor for a rematch in 2023, he said

“We don’t know if it’s going to be an exhibition or a real fight. But there’s been talks of both. I would prefer an exhibition. ... I am not into fights where I am going to take any real punishment. So guys like Conor McGregor and guys that don’t really hit hard such as YouTubers or UFC guys, I don’t really mind colliding with those kinds of individuals but nothing where I am going to put myself in a position where I am going to harm myself or hurt myself.”

He put them on the same level as YouTubers. Ouch.

I have been watching MMA for the past 20 years and I’ll honestly say this. Mayweather clowns them all.

Jake Paul knocks out every UFC fighter. They will cry when Silvia gets wrecked.

They don't punch hard in boxing terms. Once you have wraps and 8/10 oz gloves on and have done a few rounds the average UFC fighters arms are like rubber. That's why they all end up rolling around on the floor, it allows them to grapple instead of throw hands.

Plus they have zero punch resistance so hitting each other they can knock themselves out and look cool. Once they are in the ring with a pro boxer who can take a shot they can't knock out anybody. McGregor was knocking out guys with one shot in UFC, he fights a 40 year old Floyd with 8 oz gloves and his punches wouldn't have broken an egg.

Their boxing skills are barely amateur level, most of them would even struggle there so up against pro boxers in Queensbury rules they are toast.

Facts. Professional boxers are just a different breed of animal. I’ve been watching MMA for 20 years and I’ll say that any professional boxer beats over 90 percent of them standing up.

Well, duh. That's why MMA is a combination of stand up, legs, and ground work.

I feel like Floyd has only just discovered that the Earth revolves around the sun, and he's super excited to tell everyone about it.

To a boxer, no. But, UFC fighters also kick & chock a lot harder than any boxer, so it’s a moot point on both sides. Boxers making UFC fighters box them aren’t proving anything, just that they’re boxers. Same would be true if GSP did an exhibition with FMJ and said “boxers can’t grapple, their clinching is weak!”

                yawm. Next.

Didn't Silva beat up chavez juniour? I'm sure if Floyd offered an unprotected chin it would hurt. But Floyd good at blocking or slipping

Chavez Jr was never a boxer.
