Comments Thread For: Deontay Wilder: "I'm A Hall Of Famer, No Questions Asked"

After a long and contentious trilogy against Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder took a deep breath. Though he no longer had his WBC heavyweight title, the Alabama native's bank account was plush with generational wealth. Considering his financial success both in and outside of the ring, Wilder thought long and hard before ultimately deciding to continue his career.

I am officially concerned Wilder has brain damage from the Tyson Fury beatings. HOF for beating Ortiz? Or Stiverne?

Delusional. Maybe he gets in with the heaviest custom worn in a ring walk.

The current era's black American Olympians who went on to become world champions and future hall of famers:

        Mayweather, started boxing at birth.

        Ward, started boxing at 9.

        Wilder, started boxing at 20.

        That's not too bad.

I would not vote for Wilder for the HOF if his career ended today.

Now if he somehow beats Usyk and AJ, I’d consider it.

I live pretty close to the Boxing HOF. I will personally go board up the building with hammer and nails if he gets nominated.
