Quality of opposition has to be taken into account with stats like these.

Stevenson considering since he hasn't been caught clean, either that or he has quite a chin on him compared to Haney does get caught once in a while, like in the Linares and Diaz fights.

Shakur has a far superior defence IMO. Haney avoids punches via his length and athleticism, when you’re in range he isn’t that difficult to hit. Shakur on the other hand avoids punches whilst in range, he’s very difficult to catch clean.

I agree, feels like Haney's skillset won't translate well he moves up in weight divisions even if he got more power by cutting less weight. Imagine if he moved up at light welterweight which is filled with boxer-punchers. They are skilled enough to hit flush multiple times.

In the other hand Stevenson primarily utilizes his quite polished skills against prime opposition that belong at his weight class, his outstanding athleticism helps him to capitalize on it even further rather than solely relying upon it to get the win.

Just so you know I think he will make short work of Robson:

I pretty much agree on all counts man. Except I do think Robson sees the final bell, I think he loses a wide decision but I don’t think he gets stopped. I am part Brazilian though so maybe I’m bias.

While he did look impressive against the prospect Xavier Martinez and should won against Oscar Valdez who underperformed, but it is difficult to imagine how Robson would see at the end of the bell, don't get me wrong Robson is well rounded and has outstanding athleticism to hold the belt someday.

But he is way too susceptible of leaving his chin untucked.

Coria knocked him down twice while in a losing streak and unaccomplished Martinez rocked him despite getting dominated in the fight.

Former stablemate Jamel Herring also shared the same problem before Stevenson made him punch drunk in the championship match.

In terms of slickness, I have to throw in Sunny Edwards.

I think Robson has definitely improved since the Corona fight, I think he looked good vs Valdez too. Arguably could have got that decision, however Stevenson is definitely a level above. Not a fan of the kid personality wise, but he’s a special talent no doubt.

Stevenson is incredibly accurate, especially with the left hand. Not a massive puncher but if someone can consistently land clean shots eventually they’ll start to wear you down. That’s likely what Herring experienced. I think Shakur is still getting better too which is a scary thought.
