Hopefully over the next year we can get the MW divs going again. Canelo's not fighting until May so no more waiting to hit the lotto so dudes gotta fight. 3G has nowhere to go but Pbc. Hopefully Andrade will sign with Al after the Parker fight. Jermall should try and unify with Janbek and knock his ass out. Dazn held those divisions hostage for the past four years and thank God the hostages just got released!

And like I said before, Golovkin didn't get his own million dollar purse until May 2015, so whatever Berto was getting several years before, has no bearing on what G was making and what HBO was willing to to pay. Their budget clearly wasn't the same in the last few years.
We not talking about 2018 hbo.Last edited by Hustle; 09-19-2022, 05:36 PM.

Anyone know why Eubank Jr is no longer ranked by the WBA? In June rankings he was No 1 and now not in the top 15

Completely different than paying an opponent a guaranteed million that wouldn't have fought on your network in several years, on top of the million that Golovkin was getting at the time. The only feasible time that fight would've started to make sense would be 2015 and later. Lara was asked in March 2015 if he could fight at 160 and his response was "No, 154...154...154." Doesn't sound like someone who was eager to move up.garfios likes this.

I hope ggg goes for the janibek unification. They could hold it in whatever the biggest stadium in Kazakhstan is and I'd guarantee they'd sell it out. It'd b the 2 best fighters in the country going at it, 1 from this generation, 1 from last generation. If ggg wins he can retire on a win with 3 legit belts and if he loses he's passing the torch to the new generation of Kazakhstan fighters. They could put it on ESPN with maybe keyshawn davis taking a step up fight, and Steve Nelson vs berlenga or something.

As for the matchup in 2022, if only Lara still had his legs...
I'm not saying Lara wins if both in their prime but we've seen that anybody at that level has been competitive with GGG (Canelo, Jacobs, Derevyanchenko, Brook if he was a natural 160lbs) and Lara has never been washed against an opponent at that level.Last edited by Afi23; 09-19-2022, 06:28 PM.garfios likes this.
