If the fight was at 160 pounds, I think Golovkin would of won at this stage. I think he looked worst than he did vs Murata, but? Still he boxed very well from start to finish.

Alvarez probably would of stopped many fighters currently active today last night. But he still could not stop Golovkin.

Good Fight. Good performance by Alvarez. His stamina was good for him, but still not elite.

Alvarez will still struggle vs Bivol. Because I think Bivol had more gears to go through, and can still up his intensity by levels.

GGG was not fighting. He almost didn't throw power punches, because he didn't want to risk. He fought only for money. The goal was to get less punishment as possible.

I Was for triple G. but I gave him a share of round 9 and that was that , I hated what the UK commentators on the Dazn were saying but they were right G, just never got his jab going and spent most of the fight on the back foot fending off shots and not engaging .This was not the triple g. of the two previous battles.

Its debateable if GGG won a single round in this fight. When you lost 7, 8 rounds in a row the judges are literally looking to give you some rounds and that is what happened late in the fight. GGG scored some rounds late in the fight out of pity because he did better than he did earlier but I would say objectively he still lost those rounds

I agree I’ kinda consider canelo as the “smaller “ fighter in stature because of his wt jumping from 54 to MW to 68. I’m very critical of Golovjins opponents which isn’t entirely his fault but I do hold him accountable. Especially when a ward fight showed interest from the hardcore community when his marketability hype was extremely high almost viewed as “unbeatable “. Gealewas the better opponent for the image hbo was creating

GGG looked so bad that guy like Callum Smith, BJSaunders and Plant would believe they have a good chance at 168.

To GGG credit, his lack of opponents is also due to a transition period in MW where Martinez (who beat a faded Pavlik) was then on the end of his career at the top. If this was when Hopkins ran MW, GGG wouldn't likely have had his run.

GGG vs Ward would have been great at the time. GGG's punches from point A to B were clear and he wasn't gun shy....However he wouldn't have seen an inside-outside game in his career like Ward would have given him-and every Ward opponent says he is much stronger than they anticipated.

Geale was the “better” option because he was actually an option. Ward couldn’t fight in 2014.
