    Canelo should avoid top guys

Man, his stamina has never been great, but I wouldn`t expect him having THAT kind stamina issues fighting 40 old senior citizen. GGG was doing nothing in first 8 rounds, but Canelo was breathing heavy between late rounds. GGG-s punching output is gone, but Canelo looked tired in late rounds.

I don`t know what are guys that say this is the best version of Canelo smoking. Canelo was much better fighter years ago, while he was still at 154 -160.

Is he over the hill already or just that extra weight fighting in higher weight classes don`t suit him well.

I disagree, Canelo has always had serious stamina problems and he’s gotten this far with it. It’s not even much a stamina issue as it is a pacing problem, but whatever, it’s worked for him this far and even adds a little excitement to his fights.

In this particular fight Canelo gassed from chucking hayemakers for 7 rounds desperately wanting the KO, not necessarily from anything GGG did.

It’s twice that I scream for a knockout but he a biatch
He scared to get zabbed when he should be doing the zabbing
If GGG is done , no fan of either , what does that make of Canelo

He has avoided the top guys for a long time. There's a reason he is avoiding charlo, benavidez and andrade like the plague since 2018.

It's what GGG did for 97% of his ''career''

Yes, Canelo is putting too much power in his every single punch. Even Bivol stated that this might not be a good idea. You don`t have to throw power punches all the time, because you get tired and you will miss many.

GGG and Bivol are tough fights for Canelo because they are so active. Even tonight the fight was more at Canelo's pace but GGG was still there for Canelo to deal with all night. Contrast that to Plant Smith and Saunders who he just completely controlled the pace.

No fighter is perfect. He would likely control the pace vs anyone who can't punch hard enough. And also you have to have some skill to land often enough to keep him bothered as well.

So yes, nothing new, Canelo looks great fighting guys, that are not elite or that are past their prime.

Smith was a bit of a cherry pick, but his wins over Smith Plant and BJS were all very impressive to me as a grouping. Probably Plant, BJS and then Smith. Manner of victory being important as well.
