The judges were not far off with this fight but Canelo was a clear winner I think it's obvious Golovkin won the first and pinched 2 or 3 rounds late it was just that Canelo controlled the other 7 or 8 rounds. The right man won great fight.

You're incorrect Canelo did NOT win the first round G established a strong jab and Canelo felt his opponent out. Keep watching the sport though you will learn how rounds are won eventually.

Nah not really man. That's honestly disrespectful to fights that are clearly one sided. It cheapens how dominant those guys were in those fights

You're obviously a huge Canelo fan, it's OK

It's like unless GGG wins a round by 50 points he has no business winning it lol
Because GGG didn't do anything outside of a couple jabs. He was getting beat to the punch and the fight was dictated by Canelo until the 9th round

Admittedly im not a Canelo guy but I had GGG winning the first. I gave GGG 3 of the last 4 rds also. 116-112 Canelo.

Most of those rounds, there wasn't too much action. I didn't see Canelo significantly outlanding GGG in many rounds if any. It was a high level tactical chess match.

Canelo trying to slip the jab and get inside for power shots and GGG trying to land the jab and keep the fight at a range he likes, and hope Canelo slows down enough to throw some right hands.

I saw Canelo get beat to the punch quite a few times as well. That's what happens when someone lands the jab, as you even acknowledged GGG was doing 'a couple times'

Yeah, you said there is no way anyone could give GGG the first round. I have no idea how anyone could have it 2-0 really after 2. The first 2 rounds were tight and not much action separating them at all.

As I said, you seem to be a guy who doesn't really score fights too well to be honest. You are in good company on here though.

I had GGG winning the first round before Canelo got in his rhythm for several after. Then I had GGG digging deep to close the show while Canelo coasted and held a lot from sheer exhaustion. 116 - 112 is totally rational if you’re paying attention instead of being lulled into a pattern from the early rounds that Canelo separated himself in. The broadcast team was heaping praise on “the younger, quicker Canelo”, even as he was tiring and letting GGG into the fight. It’s very typical, that’s why there are professional judges and Manix and Grisham aren’t two of them.
