Bagz doesn't hate Golovkin, he's just a little triggered because one or two GGG fans like to troll on Canelo - or rather his fans.

Golovkin's an elite fighter who had a very good career it's just for a variety of reasons he never got the opportunities that would have propelled him into the stratosphere of a Canelo or a Floyd - vanishingly few fighters do though.

      Hmph....

We can separate ''triggered'' with ''logical thinking'' when we agree anyone else with GGG's resume would also be called elite

Biv was a ''cherry'' they say.

Biv was an opponent that none of GGG's opponents would have beaten.....I would go as far and say GGG wouldn't have beaten that cherry either.
      Am I triggered ?

Triggered enough to make a thread ridiculing Golovkins career for no reason other than cos some Golovkin fans got under your skin.

No I don't think GGG would have beaten Dmitry either though possibly would have run him closer than Canelo in his prime due to his higher output and better stamina.

Hopkins is widely regarded as a top 10 MW ATG due mainly to the length of his reign despite a dearth of elite opposition at the weight and his record at 160 ain't really meaningfully better than GGGs - and yes that's definitely 'elite' even if I personally put GGG more towards the lower end of the top 20.

Each division needs to be looked at in its own context man and just cos the US market hasn't cast MW as a marquee division since the days of Pavlik, Taylor and Hopkins don't mean it's less meaningful or competitive or that accomplishments or longevity there don't count.

EDIT: oh and for the record I was deeply impressed with Canelo for choosing the Bilvol fight as were most who follow the sport as a whole rather than just one or two of their favourite fighters. Anyone who called it a cherry pick ain't really worth taking seriously.

Your opening line is the most reply worthy....
I will say it again.....REMOVE my sarcasm and this thread still contains PRIME GGG going to work.

If that irrefutable truth (me uploading highlight clips of fights the PRIME GGG took part in) is misconstrued as a troll thread, you have to ask yourself why ?
If it's ridiculous, it's not my fault.
I am not doing a comedy skit where I'm pitting Lou Costello vs Igor Valuev and claiming it was legit.
I pimped youtube and shared my bounty.

PRIME GGG fighting a bunch of unremarkable guys
          Guys Fielding would feast on.
GGGroupies would call Nelo out if HE fought such a string of nobodies.

At the root of my ire, the bane of all sports are hypocrites.
Why do they exist and what purpose do they serve ?
Why is it ok for one person to fight a bunch of less than credible opponents and be called elite, while a guy who legitimately chases challenges get mocked when he fails ?
Do the hypocrites ''think'' if the ''failure'' were to have fought poor opposition like the elite one, he too would be elite and not a ''failure'' ?
Or does that ''reality'' only exist in their ''mind'' ?

Dealing with hypocrites is a waste of time but it's a guilty pleasure

          BTW, Hop would castrate GGG.

So.....you, who happens to be a non clown, a boxing knowitall, one who is above being a hypocrite, can't name someone PRIME GGG fought worth mentioning.

              You need a mirror, bruh.

I can't wait until GGGeezer retires for 2 reasons, the sport will be rid of his clown assed followers and the ones who don't leave can make an ''honest'' dedication thread.
Let's see how much my thread differs !!!!

But you haven't removed the sarcasm and it does set the tone for the thread. Regardless of your opinion Golovkins career is very solid given the context of the division he was fighting in and the opportunities available to him - better than all save the biggest stars of the sport in any division - despite the lack of marquee names his resume and overall accomplishments at the weight exceed those of any other MW this millennium bar Hopkins and even that's a close run. It's also worth noting that guys like Geale or Macklin or Murray were absolutely not being called bums at the times they fought and either beat or gave hell to divisional leaders Sturm or then P4Per Maravilla - that narrative only emerged after GGG obliterated them, although you'd know this if you were following MW back in the period 2010 - 2015 or so.

The rest of it is more or less what I said, the place is rife with hypocrisy, you and I are also both hypocrites in one form or another - even if just by omission or selectivity (do you spend as much effort calling out the hypocrisy of Canelo fans or the weakness of the resumes of other popular fighters? Do you ridicule the failures of some fighters but rationalise the failures of others?) So why, then, just the focus on the hypocrisy of a particular fanbase?

Like I say, because they got under your skin.. Why else? And yes it is pointless but I guess if that's how you choose to spend your time that's your right.

WRT Bhop vs GGG I think it woulda been a fascinating clash of styles - Hopkins never beat a MW as good as GGG and was run close by a couple guys who were on a level below but Golovkin also never faced a fighter as cerebral or slippery as Hopkins. Would have loved to have seen that one. You're seriously underestimating GGG or overestimating BHop if you think this would be a walk in the park for Hopkins though.

Not saying you favor one over the other, but you sure do defend one more than the other.
Give Nelo those same guys PRIME GGG fought and I assure you, Nelo is called every unflattering name there is.

Let's not be so one sided, this dedication thread has gotten under ''impartial fight fans'' skin as well

BTW, I truly try not to be hypocritical.....it's such a cheap look.
