The 116-112 card is fair. Canelo started slowing in 6th round and Golovkin picked it up. 7-12 was competitive and it all comes down to what the judges see from their vantage point. I struggle to see the 115-113 though. Golovkin gave the first half of the fight away.
115-113???

I could see him getting the first and 4 in the back half. Shades of Loma-Lopez, Ward-Froch, Thurman-Garcia for me - clear winner, better man won, but they took rounds off too and made the fight closer than it seemed on the cards. Judges actually did a decent job tonight.Comment

It was a 116-112 fight, 8-4. Neither guy looked very good. G put on too much weight and was slow because of that and age. Canelo didn't throw enough, actually threw fewer punches than G, landed only 10 more, but landed heavier shots in 8 rounds. Canelo still lacks real power at that weight and isn't busy enough. He should avoid Bandera Roja...it will not go well for himComment

If you didn't give G a single round you're obviously an idiot fanboy whose glasses are so rose colored they're gonna start calling you the Whispering Angel soon.Comment

LOL! Come on man. You don't have to be so biased. GGG came alive at the end there. If you had to look at both of their faces, Canelo was hating life toward the end. Golovkin swept the last four rounds, no problem. And then there were rounds in the beginning where no one was doing anything really, at least one round where Golovkin actually landed the more telling shots. I'll have to see what rounds the judges gave these guys.Comment

Yea, I guess he could have snagged the first.

MAYBE GGG won 1 round. I got to go to bed, I feel like I'm dreaming right now.
