Oh is G’s issue that Ol’ Red waited 4 years for rematch of a then 36 year old?

I think this is a stretch. Lol. He fought GGG the first time. Close fight that I thought Canelo lost but he escaped w a draw. If he was so scared he wouldn’t have fought him a second time, but he did. Fought a better fight, which I thought Canelo won.

I mean, he’s already put it on the line twice v GGG. What more does one have to do to prove they are not “afraid” to fight or lose to someone outside of fight them twice ?

I put 50$ on GGG to win 420$. Draftkings offered a 100% profit boost that was too tempting to pass up. Was it a waste of 50? That's why they call it ********. Enjoy life baby. Years ago a financial advisor asked me what I spent my money on. My reply "I spend most of my money on women, booze, and ********. The rest? I waste" .

Regardless of how they were scored the first two fights were controversial. Why not have the third fight in 2019? It was biggest fight out there financially, it was biggest fight out there in terms of public interest yet Canelo didn’t want it. Why?

Personally, I believe Canelo wanted to wait until GGG had declined enough for him to beat him convincingly and use it to try and gloss over two highly contentious decisions in the first two fights.

Interestingly enough, Malignaggi subscribes to this theory too, I was just listening to his fight breakdown and he also believes Canelo waited for GGG to decline so he could win via stoppage and use it to justify the controversy of his previous win.

“Waited for him to decline” for a THIRD fight. That means he already fought him twice. I still think that’s a stretch regardless of what Paulie or Lamont Peterson thinks.

Canelo went on to get all 4 belts at 168 and made quite a bit of money doing it, while furthering his legacy and becoming undisputed.

but regardless, GGG def has declined and I expect Canelo to beat him clearly today.

Canelo needs a decisive victory here

another debatable decision coming from a loss is really going to hurt his stock

GGG III is a far bigger fight financially than any of his fights since. Canelo simply didn’t want the third fight until risk was limited. Why not fight him in 2019?

Even if you back to the first fight that was 1-2 years too late. Canelo’s a great fighter, one of the bead of this current era no doubt but he’s always been a guy who’s tactically mapped out his career. His timing is superb both in and outside the ring.
