What massive risks has Canelo knowingly taken? If anything he has gone out of his way to minimize risk since getting lucky and escaping with a win vs Lara. All of the biggest names he’s faced in his career were 35 or older when he faced them which is minimizing risk. He’s implemented more catchweights and rehydration clauses than any fighter I can think of which is minimizing risk. He’s been caught taking banned substances which is an attempt to minimize risk by giving himself an unfair advantage. He moved out of mw before unifying or facing any mandatories to unify in a weaker division against guys who all didn’t look impressive in their most recent outings. Bivol was a risk but bivol hadn’t looked good in years when canelo fought him. So that risk was greater in hindsight than they realized at the time, and now he’s back to minimizing risk by facing ggg who is 40.

This clown has only taken one risk and that was against Bivol. Golovkin is 90 years old so tomorrow nights fight is another high profile cherry pick risk.

Let's just pick one of his biggest risks...cough cough

A shot to hell looking Kovalev defends his strap by the skin of his teeth against a guy he would have steamrolled 3 yrs before. Ok, let's schedule the fight so soon after that defense that he has to stay at a weight that has always killed him to make.

          sigh

Canelo haters must admit it's true. Canelo moved up to fight Bivol and gave him a good fight and has dominated the 168 lb division for years. Even so, I would like to see an upset and KO by GGG but it's unlikely. I like the underdog.

Yes, Nell does take risks. A 40 year old ggg is better than porter. It's all relative. Khan and porter and brook are massive risks for bud, as bud isn't that great. But ggg is better than them all
