  • Comments Thread For: Canelo On Bivol Setback: When You Lose, You Need To Accept It & Keep Moving Forward

LAS VEGAS - Canelo Alvarez's perspective on his decisive defeat to Dmitry Bivol has changed dramatically since their post-fight press conference. The four-division champion seemingly admitted defeat Tuesday, four months after Alvarez curiously contended that he

Now he is "accepting it" after all the flak he got online.

You think he reads your comments. These guys don’t care what poor people think. It’s like a Dr caring about what a CNA thinks. Canelo makes as much as 50 doctors annual salary in 1 night.

I am glad Canelo is not carping about the weight of his costume, that his water was spiked, that his trainer worked against him, the odor of the opponent's hair gel distracted him, that he was robbed, that *** before the fight drained his energy... well you get the idea. I suspect that a few weeks after the fight when Canelo and his team studied the video of the fight it was clear that Bivol won the fight.

I like when a fighter can openly admit defeat and just say the other guy was better on that night. It's ok to lose and its ok to applaud the effort of the fighter that beat you.

last week he was saying he won like most of the rounds or something. Now hes playing humble. I wonder if he will skip the rematch, that is the smartest thing to do for his career but he actually thought he would win the rematch for a while. guess we will see

If you lose by being outboxed, didn't take much punishment and there's millions in your bank accounts, it's all gravy.
