Comments Thread For: Golovkin: Canelo Didn't Take Bivol Seriously; Loss Kind Of Brought Him Back To Earth

LAS VEGAS - Saul Alvarez assured cynics Tuesday that he has taken his third fight against Gennadiy Golovkin very seriously. Alvarez's rival is 40 years old and will make his 168-pound debut Saturday night, but the Mexican superstar's previous experiences versus Golovkin remind him that this will be another difficult fight. Kazakhstan's Golovkin doesn't think Alvarez took a comparable approach to his last fight.

Canelo lost because he wasn’t good enough. Excuses such as him not taking a fight seriously or size complaints are weak attempts to detract from Bivols dominating win.

Bivol has to get pass Zurdo, then ill give him some credit. Canelo should never go back up to 175, just too small, short.

Ggg is right and honestly I'm not sure Canelo is taking ggg serious enough he thinks he's just gonna beat up the 40 yr old which I don't see that happening.

GGG looks healthy. Him saying that this fight is for boxing and its reputation just further proofs that he's out for vengeance. Can't wait for him to spark Canelo!
