How did Jake Paul get on showtime? How does he have even hard-core boxing fans watching him? Not to mention the UFC fans. How is he giving fighters their biggest pay days to date? Jake Paul came into the boxing game full throttle. I believe he'll one day be mentioned with the likes of Al Haymon, ODLH, Bob Arum, and Eddie Hearn.

Jay-z (roc nation) tried to get in the boxing business but failed miserably. 50 cent's SMS Promotional company went bankrupt. Richard Schaefer tried to make a comeback but failed. That goes to show how tough it is to run a boxing promotional company but I guarantee you Jake Paul will succeed with MVP promotions. What is his secret?

He transitioned into another format before he got too old for YouTube. He’s a legit good athlete and shown more boxing skills than people expected. He’s not super built or really good looking. He can sell an “everyman” persona even though he’s had a rare rise.
He’s knocked out cold once legit players in the mma world. He says he’s battling against promoters and is for the fighters. That will always stir a buzz.
He needs to fight at a legitimate weight class to really get more credit though.

Because he's beating the dogshit out of and humiliating ufc stars. Boxing fans for the most part dislike mma because of all the we're better than boxing wars they start. He's systematically dismantling ufc by poisoning the well from the inside and out. All these seeds he's planting won't grow over night, but over time their shadow will pay dividends.

Also, Jake and Logan are marketing master-minds from the YouTube side of things. You don't get to being the #2 influencer by mistake.

JayZ failed because he doesn't know how to market himself. He just thought his name would be enough, it wasn't. He's lazy, coudln't be bothered, and stinks as a businessman.

50 tried to deploy a coup d'état against Floyd and his deal with Haymon. Bad move lol. If JayZ's name couldn't do it, 50's name sure as shit wont either. Lastly, SMS was a rubbish name to run with. Look at AJ's comany name, I can't even rememeber it without Googling it. Something like Management 285, who the hell names their company Mgt282(?), it lacks lustre and tenacity.

Schaefer did a really dirty thing which will never ever work in a sport like boxing. Plus, he's got no brand and basically got ran out because he's such a slimeball.

Jake is young, speaks well, handles himself well, excellent marketing experience and team behind him, and has a good enough right hand to put someone to sleep. He knows which spots to pick, stabs at mma pay, safety, insurance, gets into womens boxing and made a historical play nobody in boxing would have ever done. Look at his new venture, BETR. I disagree with the angle because I used to handicap and these people are weak, but it's open season and he's being innovative with direction.

Damn I could have guessed that I suppose. I didn't think he still was, however. Social media is not my thing. There used to be a show in England called "Keeping Up Appearances." Social media, to me, is that on steroids.

I just looked and Jake has been knocked out of the top 10 for some reason. Maybe he's focused on too many other things atm.

Hah ... well, really I think it's his brother, Logan, who's the real social media star. At least that's how it used to be.

It was that way, but Jake took over and held for a while. I really have't been paying attention to the who's who lately.

He's smart and he knows what he's doing. Plays the badguy angle perfectly for MMA fans, has his own youtube fans, and also does a good job putting prospects and exciting fighters on his undercards. Montana Love got a great push fighting Baranchyuk on the one undercard. So he gets views from his fans, MMA fans and boxing fans.
A lot of guys put bull**** undercards on their cards, and in turn people only tune in for the main event.
