Do you think Pac would fair any better ?

May vs Hearns is not so one sided.
May's chin and ring IQ is just as good as SRL.
    May has better defense.

If a fighter is going to be matched up with a present day great fighter, you know that fighter is going to be May
Sr is far more offensive (big puncher) and has no orthopedic gloves at 147 b/c of hand issues. FMW is not going to pot-shot these guys for 12 rounds. He'd have to fight. Then again if we were in the era his fanboys like EGO boxing and Dontae would say Ray and Hearns don't sell enough PPC so FMW doesn't have to fight them. The rest of the Rocks in the boxing would just follow like lemmings.

Roach didn't teach Manny defensive. Not much to say there if you put in the ring with Ray and Hearns. I think Hearns stops in Duran style.

      I don't understand the bold

May was not at HIS BEST at WW.....and he had bad hands. How much of an advantage are we to give ATGs vs May to make it a fair fight ?
May can do whatever he wants. Power is the easiest weapon to take away IF you have the skills. May had them.

      Roach was 1 overrated MFer

There are no fighters active today, with comparable resumes to Floyd Mayweather Junior. For me as a champion he treated his opponents very well, and always made sure they had optimal time to prepare. Mayweather won his biggest fights, and whether he was in good form or a bit off he still found a way how to win 'That is greatness'.

Sometimes you reach a certain level in boxing where you cannot hide, Mayweather was at that level for a very very long time. He was fighting ether super elite or world class fighters back to back for a long time etc.

Every time we get close to a big fight of a dude that Floyd beat, one of these threads gets made so posters that like the guys that Floyd beat can express their sadness and butthurt by claiming his resume is garbage.

Every single poster that claims his resume is garbage picked Floyd to lose against all these guys.

How is it that Floyd is overrated yet each time beats guys these posters picked him to lose against?

How is a ATG overrated, that can only be in a hater world that's full of dumb people, if you ever meet a full-on hater in person they are ALWAYS as thick as a post with no logic, no rationale, full of double standards and extreme to a fault, overrated ATG lol, only empty heads can come up with this stuff.

He made Hatton jump up a weight class. Corrales spent training camp knowing he was going to prison after the fight. Mentally he had to be off. You just can’t compare mayweather to the all time greats. People who fought legitimate threats, and weren’t always sure of victory.
Considering he calls himself the Besf Ever, and a lot of people parrot his words, yes.

his early career was very poor. No big names

uou can’t deny he’s great though. Best defensive fighter of all time imo

lol yeah ok and mayweather spend the last 10 years of his career 17 to 24 pounds above his prime weight by OP's logic.

At 147 Sr is more offensive than Jr

Hes not getting stopped. Hearns and leonard didnt stop everyone they fought at 147 and mayweather is better than all the guys they went the distance with and arguably the best defensive fighter of all time.

SRL, Hearns, SRR, GGG, Serena, Armstrong, Duran, Ward, Hop, RJJ.....all matched up against May (PBF >May)

Is beating a ''cherry picker'' the measuring stick for ATGs ?!?!?!?

I agree, his resume looks good but many were way past their prime.
That said, he did meet a very good boxer in Canelo and whipped him easily. He also whipped an animal in Corrales and whipped him even more easily. Some boxers are a victim of a sucky era.
