Of course he can. WILL HE, is another story. I don't see anyone in this era that will unless he goes up to MW.
Can Floyd Mayweather Be Beaten ???

That would be quite the uphill argument. May's resume far surpasses Cal's and May is better than Cal at everything Cal is good at except for punches thrown. This is coming from a Cal fan as well but that isn't the road to take.Calzaghe can be compared to him. Never defeated and arguably fought opposition equal to May's resume.
Anyone can be beaten and I still believe Hatton had the best chance of beating May. Now that he's been dispatched it's hard to see him losing. I think Mosley would give him a good fight and Margarito would be VERY difficult but other than that, not many out there will touch him.
His career is a shame in some respects as in my opinion he could of been 1 of the best ever. There's still time for that but he needs to beat weltersComment

I've seen the formula for beating floyd in several different boxers skill, but not in one single boxing using those combined skills. To make that statement clear, when FLoyd fought Chop Chop Corely, he had to hustle, because Corely kept cutting off the ring and the distance, forcing Mayweather to actually fight. Hatton pressured Floyd to a point where they were clinching more than fighting, and it took all of Mayweather's skills to stay away from Ricky, and it was Ricky's own innability to keep up that pressure that got him knocked out. Zab was out gunning Floyd for the first several rounds, and even got a slight knockdown, which, if he could have kept up that pace, might have won him the fight, but as usual, he ran out of steam way before that chance ever came.
A fighter that can combine all the skills of the other fighters that have given Floyd long and arduous fights where he has had to pull the win off by the skin of his teeth, is the boxer that will clearly beat FLoyd. Speed, relentless pressure, power punching and cutting off both the distance between him and FLoyd as well as the ring so Floyd has to engage, will come out victorious.
That's just an honest summary of what I've seen in the way of FLoyd's flaws, and how no one boxer has been able to capitalize on all of them at one given time.

Mayweather doesn't lose. I'm not a fan, but i completely respect was he's done with his career. You really can't take anything away from him. I'm pretty sure floyd doesn't give a fcuk if he's exciting or not. Undefeated with hella belts, and clockin grip!!! Yeah, i'm sure he cares about his fans.
Because of his style and strategy i don't think he can be beat. Paco and Mayweather? Who knows? Paco's always down for a fight, but i rarely see Floyd in a scrap. If and when Floyd fights Pacquiao, Paco's gotta do something crazy to make the fight remotely exciting.Comment

Oh come on!!!!!! What do you think Floyd tried to 2 years ago?
Floyd hasn't tested himself since a good tough fighter named Jose Luis Castillo gave him two good fights. He can absolutely be beaten by the three best welterweights, and Manny can beat him too.Last edited by bojangles1987; 09-21-2009, 08:47 AM.Comment
