I think he cares more about the money from the potential PPV sales he would have lost by marketing it as a "tune up", rather than the criticism from fans and journalists for marketing it as a "big fight".

Yea agreed. PBF also stated in the post-fight conference that the media consistently attacks him about his decision fighting JMM because he's (PBF) physically bigger etc. but that when DLH chose Pac, DLH didn't get scrutinized by the media.

Are you serious? The moment DLH v. Pac was announce that was the first and only thing talked about. PBF is boxing genius and is this decades greatest boxer, but I really hate his arrogant attitude. Also, I don't buy the whole "he was classy" in his post-fight conference. He's still the same imo.

If he did that TS and the fight turned out to be somewhat competitive then Floyd would look bad for not dominating his tune up fight which he was supposed to and did, but no one can predict the future so he played it safe.

Cause he can sell the fight as a p4p eliminator fight to the general public.

Hypes the fight up more. The masses have no real idea about the controversy and status of this fight.

Maybe but i doubt it, he feels it would disrespect JMM.
