I didn't know Marquez's wife had an account in Boxingscene.

        How are you doing ma'am?

Same result but not worse. Mayweather tried hard to stop Marquez, but, unlike other opponents when Mayweather opened up Marquez fought back even harder. Same result but it would be a better fight. I haven't seen him walk down on a fighter like that throwing hayemakers for many years. Mayweather would never stop Marquez though. You guys don't realise the difference being so much physically bigger makes to you. When you walk in and get slammed back by a much bigger guy, and his shoulder can just shove you back, it makes fighting so much harder it's not funny.

That was a bigger problem for him than nearly anything else. The speed was obvious, but Marquez hasn't ever been that slow. He would always be slower but he was real slow in that fight. Being able to shoulder and body shove a guy around is a massive advantage and if Mayweather couldn't stop him in that fight he would never stop him at a smaller weight.

The more Mayweather opens up at a lighter weight in which he couldn't just shove him away in close or body/shoulder him around means Marquez has more counter possibilities. He is a counter puncher after all.

I absolutely guarantee it would have been twice the chess match it was than in that fight. Having speed plus more weight and more body behind your shots equals more powerful. But the guys Mayweather stopped were guys that didn't punch back when they got hit nor were any of them counter punchers. Different fight, but like I said, still the same result. Mayweather win.
