Comments Thread For: Bivol Expects Beterbiev To Be a More Difficult Opponent Than Canelo

WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol is more interested in facing Artur Beterbiev in a high-stakes unification than moving forward with a rematch against Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez.

And to think, some people thought Canelo would easily beat Beterbiev. Canelo is great but he’s a midget at 175 with crap footwork winging hayemakers at bigger men.

Great to hear Bivol thinks that way. Bivol - Beterbiev is the fight to make.

No one stands in front of Beterbiev and beats him, bivol has a better chance of winning that fight than most

He thought he could crack open Bivol the way he’d cracked open previous big men he’d fought, but Bivol has a totally different set of attributes to those who came before

No shyte. He made Canelo look like a D level opponent out there easily schooling him and most will agree Bivol won 10-2.

That fight would be amazing! Two different kinds of skill. I do not expect Bivol to expose him like he did Canelo. Beterbiev is subtly nuanced and brutal. Make it happen!

"To be honest, I want to fight for the other belts. But if [Canelo] wants to fight against me again then we can negotiate about it and if everything is okay for me for next fight, why not."

Basically, Bivol knows where the bag is, or else he wouldn't even consider Canelo! Plus he knows Eddie Hearn is in love with Canelo too!

Canelo is way to small for 175! I give him props for trying, but it's not for him! I remember people having doubts about B-Hop & Andre Ward going to 175, and they're both 6'0" tall. Canelo is only 5'8"!

I think that all this division will end in Beterviev hands. Bivol has no chance against him and Canelo neither. Beterviev is a Heavyweight cutting weight in to 175. Too much power. Remember that he even beat Usyk in the past. Another level of technics and power.
