Let's face it, the fight was a farce

Mayweather killed the fight as a competition before the fighters even entered the ring and damaged boxing again.

Like Manny Steward says, we have weight classes in boxing for a reason.

He deserved to be disrespected by Mosley and B-Hop because last night he disrespected boxing and shamelessly took a knowedgable paying boxing public for cash dispensing suckers.

I don't even hate the guy or anything but it was a cowardly move, you know he wants everyone to love him but pulling stunts like that they never will.

My respect for Marquez went up hugely, he was ready to die in there against the much bigger man, my respect for Mayweather (and I did have some) plummeted he ****d the sport.

Mayweather talked so much about how he soften up Hatton for Pacquiao, but when it was his turn to do better than Pacquiao he doesn't. Didn't Juan diaz, Pacquiao and others soften up Marquez for Mayweather. Yet Maynever(I think that could stick). Again Mayweather didn't do much better despite being over weight.

      Mayweathers plan did work.
I gotta give it to him, he knows how to sell himself.

He looked fantastic saturday night and casual Boxing fans in my house were like "Wow Floyd can beat anyone right now".
That's fine for them to say that but until he beats Cotto, Pac or Mosley he can't fool me.

Floyd was possibly 20lbs heavier then Marquez (rumors, but he looked MASSIVE and wouldnt let HBO weigh him), and then you add on top of how much bigger that makes him then Marquez ideal weight. It's like a 40 pound swing in Mayweathers favor. Of course it was a joke. Most of us knew that and didnt buy it. Marquez never had a chance in that situation. I didnt hear ONE SINGLE EXPERT pick Marquez. That shows you how obvious the outcome was.

yep, it was an exhibition match. floyd made it an even bigger farce by not making 144 lbs.

Like Manny Steward says, we have weight classes in boxing for a reason.
yep, I've been sayin this forever

i dunno about "deserved" but it was entertaining and a great set up for floyd/mosley.

I don't even hate the guy or anything but it was a cowardly move, you know he wants everyone to love him but pulling stunts like that they never will.
yep... even with the victory, not making weight was a ***** move

I respect jmm, but this career move was ill advised imho.

Two things I don't like about JMM's career moves:
                  1. Not immediately fighting the Pac rematch and instead chose to fight Chris John.

                  2. Fighting Floyd.

I don't know how much Nacho has to do with these moves but these are questionable...

Are you crying because Floyd beat your boy up and took his 0 while being at a weight disadvantage? I think I see why you're so menstrual - Floyd comes back and shuts out a smaller, but still P4P #2 opponent, but Hatton comes back and nearly gets KO'd by a smaller fighter who was coming off a loss.
