If Cotto wins, will people discredit the win like they are doing Floyd?

    People are idiots
jmm was not no 148. i doubt he put on any more lbs. than the weigh in.

he probably weighed 148 with shoes and sweats on. like how pac gets weighed in some of his fights.

jmm was probably 145 and floyd was probably 155.

But as long as Cotto make weight huh? Its okay hes gonna be 15lbs bigger than Pac.... LOL
look if you make the agreed upon weight that indicates that you put in the work and trust that you can win at that agreed weight. second, how do you know how much bigger was floyd than jmm? you have no way of knowing that, you based your "guess" on a fight that happed years ago. third cotto already stated that come fight night he will be in around 155. manny will probably be in at 147- 150. much more of a close and fair fight if they both come in at that weight.
but let me stress that you are reaching and guessing with your fight night estimate of fmjr's weight.

Hard to say now, because Cotto has been fighting some very tough dudes. Clottey, Margagrito, Mosley. Its hard to descredit him when he's been soften up by fighting tough opponnets. Cotto been in the big leagues and you better believe those fights take a toll on you.

i can see cotto 160 or so. pac 145 or so.

some of his unofficial weighins he goes on with shoes and clothes and stuff.

the unofficial weigh in is not very accurate.

some guys go on in just boxers others just hop on with whatever they have on.

If Cotto wins (he won't) he deserves all the credit. pacquiao has proven himself capable of carrying the added weight and it has shown no effects whatsoever on his handspeed, footwork, or stamina. And some would say it's even been a benefit to his punching power.

Unliked Marquez who was slowing down when he jumped from 130 to 135 as evidence by the Casamayor and Diaz fights.

Not to mention the fact Manny is proven at 140 and 147 and Marquez never fought above 135.

You cant compare the two situations because floyd in his fight had EVERY single advantage (height, reach, weight, speed, strength, etc etc). Pacman does have some advantages over Cotto. Odds are closer. Night n day.

Pac was 147 for a fight at 130, pretty sure he's put on a few pounds since then, at least by the looks of it.

People seem to forget the weight drain factor of these guys though, which is why Pac looks so much better these days not having to do so.

During the off season Floyd put on a lot of muscle. I wouldn't be surprised if his walk-around weight is 170lbs.
