Comments Thread For: Aleem: Time For Scared Boy Stephen Fulton To Come Out Of Hiding, Sign The Contract

Ra'eese Aleem was intent on sending a message with his in-ring performance. The unbeaten junior featherweight contender then made to state out loud exactly what he wants next in his career.

If Cool Boy Steph can't get MJ, then I think he should move up to 126, and rematch Brandon Figueroa! That's a better fight, and the first fight was great! I rather see that fight, and they should fight in the Barclays! Let Steph get some love from his fans in Philly and the East Coast!

Fulton MJ is the fight to make period. Aleem is gonna have to wait like Boots and Ortiz are at welterweight, til the unification happens. Aleem is easy work for Fulton anyway,

If fulton gets MJ then screw Aleem.

But if no MJ, Aleem is the only relevant 122 fight left. They been internet beefing forever.

PBC ain’t doing no fight with MJ. Fulton needs to vacate or give Aleem a shot. PERIOD!!! If he don’t then Fulton the biggest duck in boxing at the moment.

Matchup between Aleem and Fulton would be intriguing. Not sure if it would be action packed, I see it as a high speed chess match where both are using their skills to assert tactical dominance or find an opening. Would be interesting to see Fulton go back to boxing after fighting Leo and Figueroa in a phonebooth.

Fulton was back in his boxing bag against Roman and dominated. Aleem is more athletic than Roman but less crafty and refined technically, he throws too wide and I see Fulton eating him up punching in between Aleem's wider shots. I don't think it's a bad fight but Fulton MJ is really the only fight to make. Aleem should fight Nery or someone and wait for a crack at undisputed.

I don't disagree but I just don't know if it gets made because of the promotional issues at play.

You're right about the Roman fight, it completely slipped my mind that it happened (and I actually watched it). I guess the memory isn't what is used to be.

Yeah I feel that, I hope it happens but it won't if Matchroom wants to have it on dazn. Fulton has built up a big name (for a 122lber) headlining cards on Showtime and there's no way they let him fight on Dazn which has failed to turn MJ into any kind of attraction or name outside the most hardcore fans. Dazn also doesn't have a lot of junior feathers to match MJ with so the risk/reward is more in their favor to let MJ go fight for undisputed on Showtime, if he wins he can bring all the straps back to their platform and call the shots, if he loses and loses the belts dazn doesn't lose much in the way of investment, he'll still be a good but fairly obscure fighter on their platform. But that all seems to make sense and this is boxing so you're probably right... it won't happen.
