Marquez's legacy wasn't tainted in anyway at all

at least in my eyes that is, marquez should not get discredited in any way shape or form for his loss against mayweather , considering what happened all it does is put another loss on his record..
and besides out of all the fighters floyd have dominated like that, hes probably the one i've seen try the hardest...even on top of his frustration

Floyd on the other hand, his status doesnt really go up because of that win it just remains where it is when he left..seing as marquez isnt really a legit welterweight

when duran suffered a humiliating KO loss to Hearns,it never tainted Duran's legacy

Duran is still higher in the ATG ranking compared to Hearns

Absolutely nothing wrong with losing to the best. JMM is still a damn great fighter.

Yeah you make a good point. JMM tried to go against the odds and failed but at least he tried it adds to his legacy even though he lost.

He fought a more skilled younger fighter, two weight classes above his last fight, and was the much smaller man in the ring, and lasted 12 rounds, losing a lopsided decision, but holding his own nonetheless. If anything this adds to his legacy.

Of course he shouldn't. He's an old fighter that moved up against a young, prime fighter that was way too big for him, that didn't come down in weight to the agreed limit etc etc etc.

Marquez is the era's greatest warrior and risk taker. That fight did nothing but add to his legacy of you ask me.

Marquez is very overated his biggest wins are losses to pac and yes if scored correctly he lost both.. Other than that he showed Amir Khan the path in beating a past it Barrera a few years later then he should have. Casaymor is even older then Marquez must be 38 or somethin and was drawing on 2 cards at the 11th and Diaz is an other HBO hypejob.

                Very overated
