Like I said before, you have slanted excuses for a hand held fighter. I don't need to work for you to prove that, its proven by what has been shown, such as still being on most P4P lists with 2 losses in 18 fights, and being ushered into a championship in his 3rd fight after losing his first. Handheld...

You're just jealous because he's better than your favorite fighter. That's really what it comes down to. It is what it is.

To all the Loma fans hating on Mikey, all I know is Mikey at 135 would've beaten Teofimo by stoppage.

Mikey was no joke. One of the best. Had he and Loma fought, I'm not sure who would have won. I'd bet money on Loma, but there's certainly be a question mark. It would have been a wonderful fight. It just seems that Mikey dropping his belt to "try to be great" fighting a guy not one class but two weight class above him, who's big by welterweight standards, was an obvious duck. Based on that, it seems to me that Mikey didn't believe he could beat Loma, which is the only opinion that matters here.

I don't believe he's better than Shakur, or Tank, but he would probably give Haney a good fight, although I think Haney would keep him on the outside with his jab because Loma doesn't possess the power at 135 to walk him down, especially with his little T-rex arms. But those fighters all had to earn their positions, not be given a championship fight after losing to a Salido type, and then still jumped above everyone for a chance at a belt.

Loma had a tough style for Mikey no doubt but ultimately the smarter business decision was to leave Top Rank and fight Broner & Spence. It was also no secret Mikey gains weight between fights so weight cuts were hard which is why he continued to fight above his best.

Logically no way was Mikey going down to 135 to take a risky fight for less $ & Loma would not have secured legacy. At the time Loma had like 7 fights with 1 loss. 50yrs from now people would look back and say Mikey beat a fighter with 8 pro fights? Now if Errol Spence becomes Undisputed? 50yrs from now Mikey really challenged himself.

I don't know man. At that time, Loma was unified champion. It was a unification fight. All I heard from Mikey was a ton of excuses. In fact, I remember a video saying that Mikey should move up to 135 and fight him, which obviously was before Loma because unified, but that's what he said. And then Loma moves up, becomes a unified champion, offering Mikey the possibility of having all three belts, and then he moves up to fight Spence, dropping his WBC belt. That's not a good look man. Honestly, it's hard for me to see it any other way than he ducked Loma. Could be wrong but the optics are pretty bad.
