Yesterdays fight reminded me a lot of Whitaker vs Nelson.

Minus Nelson catching up late and hurting Whitaker. The smaller, slowe, and less athletic man losing a decision after getting dominated for most of the fight (Nelson won a few rounds).

didn't see whitaker / nelson, but I don't see the parallels... jmm got dominated and never won even 1 round.

Whitaker was great, but Floyd is much greater.

Well if you didn't even see the Pernell/Azumah fight how can you say you don't see the parallels? That is odd.

I was at that fight and I literally fell asleep. I still haven't seen it to this day...

hmmm...I thoguht the Nelson-Whitaker fight was much more competitive, even though Nelson won a small amount of rounds.

Nelson was putting crazy amounts of pressure on Pernell too...Marquez really kind of lacked in the pressure fighting department, and got his counters countered all night due to the reach and speed difference.

also, Mayweather, while extremely accurate, didnt land an amazing number of punches on Marquez. Whitaker landed over 400 on Nelson.

OHHHH Noooo, you took this too far man , nothing like that, I would never get over that fight, that was worst than Wlad vs Ibraginov and that's much to say.
