it's easy to take the risks when you know you're up 5 rounds at the beginning of every fight and roided out of your mind.

But him going from 154 to 175 would be equivalent of Spence going to 168 - and he hasn't even gone up to 154 yet.

And the fact he wants to rematch Bivol is to be applauded. Mikey Garcia challenged himself moving up to fight Spence but he certainly didn't fancy the rematch.

My only issue would be not fighting other Mexicans. If Zurdo wins then fight him at 175 but slap a prohibitive rehydrate clause on that weight bully
Canelo isn't Jumping up to 175 it's his natural weight, he takes drugs that allowed him to fight smaller men. This isn't opinion it's a fact that gets swept under the rug..

Mexicans have been running boxing for the past 30 years. The only think that keeps other boxers relevant are fixed fights and mythical pound for pound lists by Disney employees. Tank Davis and Errol Spence are in these top 10 lists only being a champion in one division and never becoming undisputed. Where Canelo had to become a 4 division champion and win multiple belts in each weight class before being recognized. Canelo is the number 1 man in boxing and Boxrec proves it. Mexico es primero.

Canelo is still one of the top fighters and still the cash cow. If he beats GGG he will be in position again to line up any big fight.

Don't know why he gets so much hate. He did go up in weight and challenged an undefeated proven champ.

Great fighters mostly loose when they go up in weight looking for that challenge. No different here.

What risks has Benavidez and Charlo taken? When are they going to do anything worth note? Why didn't Charlo take a risk and fight Benavidez when Benavidez called him out?

Canelo and Usyk are the only ones taking risks.

It used to be that Canelo would say that the fans decide who is the best, now he's lowered his standards, and makes up the peoples mind for them, by saying he's still the best.
In all actuality it's his own insecurities getting the better of him, while he was winning he could get away with certain things, but ever since he lost to Bivol he's become a psychological mess.
Now he has to face the stone cold truth that he's not the best in boxing, because someone beat him in the ring in front of millions of fans who were watching.

He could’ve taken the 3rd go ahead vs GGG, one of Canelo’s toughest challengers and basically his nemesis pre pandemic, but Canelo ran and waited GGG with copout reasons.

Doing Canelo vs GGG III right after II would’ve been a risk.

For a guy that can fight anyone he wants,Canelo may be the P4P most risk-averse fighter today.

Soprry but the new found interest in belts or greatness or moving up in weight are excuses for avoiding the he REAL risks....Charlo, Andrade, prime Golovkin and David Benavidez and everyone knows it.... and so does Canelo.
