If he fights Usyk I’d agree with you.

Canelo speaking facts. The rest of boxing could learn a thing or two from this legend.

Usyk fighting Fury, if it happens, will be lik ehim stepping up to his 3rd weight class - lets see how he does there - but he IS challenging himself - but how much of a risk is it? If he loses to Joshua his legacy is not as great as he wanted but his economic risk is less

If Canelo loses 2-3 fights in a bad run he stands to lose tens, even hunderds of millions of $

Think he means he left the US to fight the Aussie. It is a risk to do that but we all known the Aussie isn’t that good and did whip Teo but we all know Teo is great but has some serious issues.

New generation fighters should study this guy. He gives Greb, Langford, Armstrong, Robinson vibe us in middle of the 21st century. His standards and challenges are another level.

Bivol schooled Canelo in a cherry pick gone wrong and judges still tried to save him.
              Canelo is still ducking Benavidez.
Smith and Plant weren't great champion when Canelo unified 168.
Canelo fought Kovalev who just had hard fight 2 months before their fight and was drained with rehydration clause.
Judges gifted draw and win against GGG and now Canelo is fighting him when he's 40 and going up in weight for the first time in his career.

But him going from 154 to 175 would be equivalent of Spence going to 168 - and he hasn't even gone up to 154 yet.

And the fact he wants to rematch Bivol is to be applauded. Mikey Garcia challenged himself moving up to fight Spence but he certainly didn't fancy the rematch.

My only issue would be not fighting other Mexicans. If Zurdo wins then fight him at 175 but slap a prohibitive rehydrate clause on that weight bully
He says he wants tor rematch Bivol, is it true?
Why wait, does he need to roid up some more?

Sorry Nelo but fighting the vulnerable in a division isn't a risk it's a calculation....

Taking a risk means actually fighting the most RISKY in a division like Golovkin when he was PRIME or PRIME Charlo or PRIME Andrade or PRIME Benavidez.
