Honestly, that was kind of a mismatch. I didn't know Floyd would look that much bigger. I give him credit and everything, but it was pretty bad to be honest.

Only credit i give him was not being rusty. I thought he might have had 2 rounds to feel out before dominating but he did it from the opening bell. Credit for that, but beyond that he beat an older, slower, blown up, counter punching lightweight. He did what he was suppose to.

Just a decent amount of credit. His win against a lightweight hurt his win credibility.

I expected alot more out of Marquez also but you have to give Mayweather credit. Marquez couldn't do anything due to the JAB, he also neutralized Marquez's left hook. It was a good win, nothing more and nothing less. I expected Marquez to come in at 142 and Mayweather to come in at 148. Instead, Marquez came in at 148 and Mayweather looked 150-152.

Considering he came in over the weight limit, and Marquez looked to be plodding along in survival mode, Floyd is catching heat for it.

If there was any ring rust, nobody noticed. It was a non-title fight.

Now it's time for Floyd to put up or shut up and make good on the hit list.

Little...but it was a tuneup...it wasn't meant for him to get much credit...

I give him no credit. Floyd has to fight SMW's or else no dice. Until he beats the winner of the Super Middleweight tournament in a few years he gets no credit. Beating anybody else just doesn't cut it!

                /sarcasm

Honest question to you detractors: Do you think if Floyd had cut more weight and dropped to say Light Welterweight and fought JMM there that the outcome of the fight would've been any different?

I give him credit for looking really sharp, fast, agile as expected but mismatch for sure. If he just fights a real welter who is on their game he would not be hated on so much, easy fix.

I don't know ; how the hell do you even disect the amount of credit you give a guy for a win? Does it go into percentages? Do you need a pie chart?

Obviously you take the talent of the competition into consideration ; in this case Marquez is highly talented.

The size difference was pretty damn huge though ; First, Marquez had to jump 2 divisions for this fight. Secondly, in the ring on fight night Floyd had at least another 10lbs on him ontop of that.

But you can't discount Floyd's skill though, either. Because he would beat Marquez at any weight Marquez wanted to fight him at. Unfortunately for Juan Manuel ; he picked Welterweight.

I give Floyd credit for this, but I also take into account the size difference.

I'm glad to have him back in the sport, and I'm hoping we get to see Mayweather/Mosley finally.

As for how much credit I give him? Like I said ; I don't even know how to define that. is it a "little bit", "half", "a lot", or "all the credit in the world"? And what exactly to those terms amount to, anyway?
