Usyk's best attributes are his speed and endurance.
Anthony Joshua skill for skill, step for step was not beating Usyk but? He was hanging in there with Usyk in both fights, pretty much until the last 3 rounds.
This is only possible if Joshua's has a certain degree of speed. Both in decoding and understanding action, and physically performing movements.
Joshua is choreographed, with his movements, there is a lack of fluidity. Because fighting I don't think comes natural to him. That is why people say he is robotic.
But I would not describe him as a slow fighter.
His calculations, and decoding of action may not be as astute as Tyson Fury's. Which makes Fury appear faster than he actually is.
And when Joshua is forced to decode and anticipate, it is a extreme effort for him. There are probably not many fighters out there, who will force Joshua to THINK as much as he had to vs Usyk.
Tyson Fury for me, is not speed fighter. His combinations are not super fast, his single punches are not super fast ether. But he does have decent speed.
I think they are quite comparable in raw speed, Joshua maybe has faster combinations. But Fury can anticipate and read the game better.
Like the way great Snooker players are always operating a few steps ahead, of what is actually presented on the table. Fury has that kind of ability.
Plus Fury has a better Jab, by far more superior Jab which he does throw with speed. Joshua's Jab is hit or miss, it is one of the area's he needs to improve etc.
