..My Thoughts From Last Nights PPV...

Just my personal thoughts. Don't have to care or read them. Just thought I'd share. And away... I go.

    - Michael Katsidis has a slightly improved defense. You know how I know this? Because in between switching balls that he licked, Max Kellerman found time to let me know it 17 times. With that being said, he did block a few more shots then normal and he didn't lose much offensively. Regardless of what Jim aand Max said about his power, he didn't lose any of it. Even in the fight that got him all this American noise (and rightfully so) against Czar Amonsot, he couldn't stop him with any of the bombs he landed. Nonetheless, I did notice the improvement and I was pretty impressed. Good for him.

    - Awesome attempt by Vicente Escobedo to step up and right into the lions den. With a REAL top Lightweight. Took some great shots. Also, when the guy that beats you has two partly swollen black eyes, a broken jaw and some cuts, you know that he'll never forget you. I'd pick Escobedo to beat a lot of top Lightweights still.

    - Screw, lets bring on Marquez-Katsidis. Sounds like fun.

    - Rocky Juarez is frustrating. He can win, but only seems to believe this with about 4 rounds left in a fight. The only thing more frustrating then that is his ability to accept that he lost a fight. Ever. According to him, he's still undefeated.

    - Chris John seems to lose focus at some point in the championship rounds, but when he's on his game, it's hard to find someone that you CLEARLY pick over him.

    - With that being said, lets have John-Gamboa.

    - Marquez has nothing to be ashamed of. He was undersized and slightly underskilled against one of the best fighters within the last 10 to 15 years. Nothing wrong with that, especially with the slew of compliments Mayweather threw his way in the aftermath. He lost with class, every single rond, and he has nothing to be ashamed of.

    - With all that being said, Mayweather would have still came out on top if they were the same size. it's just a matter of styles. They are both counterpunchers, naturally. So naturally, the winner will be the guy with the faster hands. Pretty simple. Good win for Mayweather. He put on a solid, textbook performance and added some flair to it.

    - If Marquez and Hatton were to fight for a title at 140, it'd be very exciting to see if Marquez could do what no other Mexican born fighter has ever done. Win that 4th 'world title' belt in a fourth division.

    - Cong**** to Shane Mosley. With his new divorce, his ex-wife had to give back his genitals and he immediately put them to use with challenging Mayweather face-to-face after his victory. Regardless of any potential outcome, who you prefer or what have you, that was entertaining. If he turns the fight down for right now, his followers have to put to rest that claim that he only fights you when you challenge him.

    - Yesterday was NOT a bad night for boxing. Don't be ridiculous. Two guys fought, one guy won. It happens every weekend somewhere. Mayweather winning means that he furthers the chances of gaining a legacy that might one day be TRULY legendary. Also, it might help with TWO fights that we all have wanted to see in the first place. If Manny Pacquiao loses to Miguel Cotto, then Cotto/Mayweather is natural, as is Pacquiao/Marquez III, provided that Marquez doesn't have any plan at that point to potentially ruin it.

Anyway, fun night of boxing overall. Quality fights. Action fights. Clinical fight and a solid stoppage. Good stuff.
