Comments Thread For: Efe Ajagba Drops Jozsef Darmos Twice, Stops Him In 2nd Round Of Comeback Bout

Efe Ajagba began his comeback from his first loss and subsequent surgery in impressive fashion Saturday night. The huge Nigerian heavyweight stopped overmatched Jozsef Darmos in the second round of a fight scheduled for eight rounds on the non-televised portion of the Jose Pedraza-Richard Commey undercard at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ajagba sent Darmos to the canvas twice before referee Gary Ritter waved an end to the action at 1:15 of the second round.

It's good Ajagba is back into action. He must fight regularly and get in the mix for a title shot. I wish to see him again in the ring before the year ends.

He's a strong guy with power but as we saw in that sanchez fight he's pretty limited and a guy with a decent boxing brain can out think an out fight him in there.

I will love to see Ajagba fight veteran but experience boxer, Chris Areola.

Ajagba is a poor man's Wilder. He is strong, and powerful but with limited skills and very poor defense. And unlike Wilder, he is far less agile and does not have a thundering right hand. He will always look amazing against other limited-skill fighters but won't go far against skilled guys. That said, he may still be somewhat exciting to watch.

Unfortunately, I do not see his career taking him higher up in the top 10. At best, he may get in and out at the lower end of the list.
