I dont think Floyd would of gotten into the brawl look how he reacted in the Roger - Zab brawl even when he recovered I think he's the only one in his team to not make a struggle, he said in an interview "hell no im not getting into no brawl, I love my uncle Roger but hell naw im not getting into that kind of trouble" he said something like that, I think he knows better.

I think it had equally as much to do with Bernard's friendship with Shane as it did the fact that're partners in Golden Boy.

Bernard and Shane's friendship goes back quite a few years before either of them were even on Golden Boy.

I think it was basically Bernard trying to take up for his boy, as much as him playing the role of promoter.
