  • Comments Thread For: Bob Arum: I Don't Think It Will Be Difficult Putting Fury-Usyk Fight Together

By Keith Idec - Bob Arum never believed, not even for a split second, that Tyson Fury was retired. And now that Oleksandr Usyk has emerged victorious from his rematch with Anthony Joshua, the 90-year-old promoter is confident it is a matter of when, not if, a deal will come together for Fury to fight Usyk next for all of boxing's heavyweight

Fury is retired but making a comeback how hard is that to understand? Just like GPs and doctors who were retired but came out of retirement during covid crisis to help out

It would be very difficult to make the fight if Fury wants bloody $500m, but with Tyson, you know it's not a serious demand.

If the goal is both legacy and cash.... this fight will come together just fine in the next few months. Both men stand to stamp their careers with a historic win that will be remembered well past their fighting days, and the paychecks will be amazingly great for both.

If either one of these men prize money WAY more than legacy, this could get tricky. There will be scant few resources that will be able to step up. Makes it a much longer deal to make and harder to make everyone happy.

I hope it gets done in the next 60 days, or it could be a long wait.

Fury doesn't want this fight, I'd be surprised if it happens. If he really wanted it - he wouldn't have retired to avoid it, in the first place. He has a record of avoiding fights - the Wlad rematch, the 2 Joshua fights he avoided, and he tried to get out of the the third Wilder contracted fight.

How many fights has Fury been talking about since he "retired" Ngannou? Thor? wrestling? He likes to keep his name in the news

Funny, this MF is band from traveling to the US with the global organize crime investigation going on. There must be something with this guy that the sport ignores (payoffs). The corruption in boxing IS that deep....

I thought Tyson was already in the states, also thought he was finished fighting with or for Kinnahhan. It’s his brother that has the issues. I really doubt that there will be any issues getting it done. We shall see!
