IMO, Lara, not Khan, had the best chance of beating Floyd. Lara was one of the few fighters who could compete with Floyd in ring IQ, and was naturally bigger, taller, longer, fast, and a southpaw.

I've been told that Floyd doesn't struggle with southpaws.

lara would have been no problem for floyd, too inactive with his punches.
to beat floyd u need the longer reach + relentless pressure/punches and the only one who comes to my mind is/would have been paul "the punisher" williams

Floyd seemed to struggle more with fighters who were able to provide constant pressure. Lara is not like that at all. Not to mention it wasn't a particularly interesting fight considering how economical they were with their punches. Can you imagine how boring it would've been? They'd be lucky to throw 40 punches a round COMBINED. Nobody really wanted to see that.

Also nobody thought Khan would've been much of a problem for Floyd.

Lara was one trick pony at his prime. He was good at his own game but one dimensional. Low output, zero skills at inside, zero pressure, mediocre punch power and chin etc.. Floyd would beat him by smart pressure like he did against Judah.
