How can he duck something that is in his contract?
Isn't this exactly what Haney's fans were mad about?

He'll claim that he can't make weight. The contract is contingent on Haney fight at lightweight. If he fights at lightweight, then he has to fight Loma next. But if he leaves lightweight for the 140 division, then he can possibly get out of the fight. That's what the issue is all about. In that contract, had Haney fought someone else other than Kambosos, then he would have had to pay a huge fee for damages.

Of course I have not seen the contract, but that is what has been reported.

Lomachenko ducked Haney when he asked to be Franchise champion. Having said that I think Loma beats him.

That not true man. I have interviews with Bill Haney and Suleiman that say otherwise. I'll tell you what happened. Remember when Haney was supposed to fight Luke Campbell? That was the plan, but Loma ended up fight Campbell because that was the bigger fight at that time. However, Haney did this tournament with Javier Fortuna and a couple others to fight for the #1 position with the WBC. That's what that tournament was for, to see who would fight for that mandatory position to challenge the WBC champion. But someone dropped out. I think it was Fortuna. So the WBC offered Haney the chance to fight for the Interim title belt. The problem with becoming the interim belt holder is that you are no longer ranked, AND you cease to be the mandatory challenger. You become a discretionary challenger. When that happens, you have to petition the WBC for a vote to see if they approve of the interim belt holder and the WBC champion belt holder to fight each other. Haney had the chance to petition the WBC to fight Lomachenko, but as we well know, he didn't. Instead, he petitioned to fight Santiago, that Dominican guy.

This came out in several interviews after Bill Haney was put on the hot seat. In fact, the plan was to never fight Lomachenko but, instead, to build up Devins career, to let him develop. They called out Loma because "that's what you do," according to Devin. It was to bring attention to Devin. It was clout chasing and nothing more.

There are so many other reasons why that's not true that I won't get in to because of how obvious they are, such as the timing, that Devin injured himself in the fall of that year (2019) and had to have surgery. He was stripped the the WBC Belt (was beltless) and had to petition again to get his belt back. By the time that happened and he had healed, the Loma vs Lopez fight had already been made.

So all of that talk is just BS that many people bought into. Dumb narratives being pushed that don't have a kernel of truth.

Not sure, I don't think Devin Haney is really the kind of guy to actually avoid making fights happen after willing to fight an opponent who pulled the upset of when Teofimo Lopez was highly regarded while Haney looked vulnerable in multiple occasions.

But his father Bill Haney has a more businessman like mentality, he has been talking smack about Lomachenko lately about using the war of Ukraine as an excuse to avoid making the fight happen and questioning why he should get the opportunity to face Devin which would be a missed opportunity to skyrocket his stock before it is too difficult to make weight at lightweight.

Depends how Loma looks in his upcoming fight.

That said Big Boss Bobby wouldn't allow it and make the fight happen.

Loma was god-like in the Commey fight. Haney ducks him because he will lose at his own game, pure boxing.

I hope Kambosos beats him and his cheaty defensive skills in the rematch. But, my hopes on Loma which is clearly better fighter.
