So I just read that this fight is set for September 24? Didn't the purse bid for LSC/Wood get cancelled last week since both camps had a deal set? What the hell happened there?

Anyways, this is a very good fight. Lara is flawed but powerful and Wood obviously isn't the most skilled himself. This should be a damn good fight. I think Lara ends up taking it.

You saying Leo Santa Cruz vs Rey Vargas can be made without any hindrance now?

I mean I didn't even mention Vargas? Lol, but yeah, I don't see why that fight can't be made now. Leo's team tried to get an exemption from the WBA to make the Vargas unification bout but that request was rejected. I don't see why the WBA wouldn't allow that fight now that Wood has chosen to go in another direction.

I see no reason why that fight (Vargas/LSC) can't be made. Both want the fight. We'll see.

They’ve agreed a joint step aside agreement. So both take an interim fight then unify the WBA belts.

I’m very 50/50 on this fight. I don’t know whether Lara will be as effective against a guy like Wood who has decent power, as opposed to Warrington who’s punches Lara was able to walk through.
