Can all my fellow PRicans FINALLY admit that Floyd would EMBARRASS Cotto?!

How is Cotto a better boxer than Marquez? Marquez is the better counterpuncher, and he adapts better. Let's compare them in that regard:

Marquez:

- knocked down 3 times in first round and ended with a draw
- knocked down by Barrera and ended with a wide UD
- back and forth with Casamayor and stopped him
- hurt by Diaz and stopped him

Cotto:

- ahead in Margarito fight and got KO'd
- knocked Clottey down early and ended with a controversial SD
- outboxing Mosley easily and backed up in the last rounds

Cotto's defense is NOT decent, it is extremely below average. People say he beat Judah much worse than Floyd did (because he got the KO), but Judah managed to land A LOT more punches on Cotto than he did on Floyd.

That "selective pressure fighter" thing helps him against average opponents, but against Floyd it will just make him easier to beat, because Floyd will be better aware of all the countering opportunities. Cotto isn't smart enough or slick enough to set traps for Floyd and force him to make mistakes. Floyd, on the other hand, is peerless when it comes to forcing others to make mistakes, and he is extremely effective at taking his opponent's strengths away. Cotto is a fighter who has a history of making MANY mistakes, and they have been exploited by lesser fighters than Floyd.

This is why we cant have a real discussion on Cotto. that alone shows how you let your hate blind your thoughts.

he landed more on Cotto, but only won 1 round to at best and Cotto landed more on Judah than Maywether and KO him. Judah started winning the first 4 rounds against Floyd. Different styles!!!!!


And the rest of your psot, is just prasing Mayweather and dissing Cotto, but your not saying anything technically or fighting wise on how Mayweathr will embarras Cotto.

Cotto has a chance.. This is boxing.

Even though it will all come down to landing a big shot.. A big "IF"

I would still want to watch it though. You have to be Mayweather to punch and actually land shots, but it seems impossible, but Mayweather does get hit.. Who knows man.. Cotto has a shot. You can't look him down, he can land a shot, and dedicate to body shot only, but then be prone to getting hit upstairs..

Cotto has a good jab tho... De La Hoya did well with it.. We will just have to see, but honestly.. I see Mayweather winning a UD, but I would give Cotto a chance at probably winning.

the least you could say is, i'd be a tough fight for cotto. cotto is still undefeated, since the loss to proven cheater margarito is still questionable. not to mention, cotto has fought the best in his weight class and has never ducked anybody. he's fought whoever is put in front of him, and has always come out victorious.
