LMAO hilarious video. Floyd ducks tough questions almost as much as he ducks fighters.
PBF cursed out by fans, owned by Mosley and Kellerman! (Video)

and... "if only floyd would have answered the questions in a polite manner like any champion would do this disaster would have been avoided."
I wonder how distracted you cats were from watching **** during the fight to observe anything, to make such innane comments. for one thing, that was a different era of Floyd in the past. if people paid attention, and didn't let blind jealousy and hate fuel them, they'd notice this is the first time Floyd has been gracious and polite. He didn't trash talk Marquez. He didn't trash talk Freddie Roach when Roach's comments were brought to his attention.
His first real comment during the over-too-soon interview was one of humility; "i can get better".
at the post-fight press conference, Floyd even refused to bad talk failed white rapper Max Kellerman. he took the high road and was a class act. he didn't insult anyone, he only (correctly) pointed out that, after another fighter's fight, he would not disrupt their interview, as its their moment.
Just remember, Floyd is not the same person he was 21 months ago.. there is such a thing called growth. Are you the same person you were 21 months ago, or have you continued to grow and change? Oh sure, you're still a ****** like you were 21 months ago, but that isn't the point.
Anyone saying **** like Floyd wasn't polite is proving the Floyd critics to be bona fide liars, and damaging any valid points they have... facts are facts, and video evidence works against lies. Try to think about that next time.
You know, when you have an agenda to push? Being blind with rage isn't very clever. Even if you're going to lie, try to do it in a way where, oh, all the evidence isn't making you look foolish.Comment

Thank you for this.
It's true, Floyd haters look for ANYTHING, even things that defy logic.. what his Dad said, what his Uncle did, this IRS thing. The IRS thing is not even proven, just suggested, and even if it is suggested one hundred times, does not make it true.
If all the critics of Floyd are so moral, and its his conduct outside of the ring that they find so unforgiveable, how do they condone anyone else? Shane Mosley DID take illegal substances- FACT. Oscar De La Hoya has been documented lying so many times, we've lost count, AND admitted to cheating on his wife. Has Floyd done either of those things? No.. its just rumored, not confirmed, that he has some.... tax problems. Er.. right.
It's also worth noting that the tax lien was from when FMJ was one of the highest paid athletes in all sports, so it shouldn't be an incredible surprise and was likely an accounting oversight, I would tend to think.Last edited by Drunken Cat; 09-24-2009, 12:29 AM.Comment

Its a DISGRACE how the HBO commentating teams and you lowlife keyboard bums swinging from May's nuts are treating one of the premiere fighters of boxing. So what he lied about owing money to the IRS, so what he didn't want to discuss the 600k and 2 extra pounds. With the performance he gave, he earned the right to talk about whatever the **** he wanted to in that interview. He could of gave a dissertation about the merits of cross stitching and we should have given him his time.
Kellerman is a horrible commentator.
Commentator's are NOT supposed to moderate fighters or shape events. Greats like Howard Cosell and ect would not believe this. Treating Bernard, Shane, and May like little kids telling them to hush like he's a schoolyard marm and they are naughty children. Wtf. He should have shut his boring ass up and let them talk. They names top the marquis, not his. They bring fans to the arenas, and forums and PPV's.. not ****** Max Kellerman. He does nothing for the sport of boxing compared to them. He should treat them with the the respect they deserve. And he needs to learn to play his position. Floyd only got upset when Kellerman wouldn't even hear his response to Mosely. Kellerman treating that mic like aand he wanted all the milk. I'm glad May upbraided him.
All your insinuations in that video were false and obviously biased. Except, the observation that May didn't want to talk about money right after he mentioned money. But as I said, he earned the right to do that with his performance.
Half you idiots were saying "Yo man, JMM is totally gonna stop Gayweather son. Knockout city". And when it didn't happen, all of a sudden its May's fault, of course for picking a smaller fighter, even though JMM's dumb ass wanted to move up in weight and he was ranked higher on the p4p list. (A title that Floyd covets.) It never ends with you does it? No matter who Floyd defeats (pac, cotto, mosely, Pwill) you will always always find a way to undermine or cast mud on his achievements. It won't be until he's dead or dying that he will be recognized as the atg that he is, which is just pathetic. And as for you... you are just another broken-hearted JMM fan, or something. And so was the guy that cursed out Mayweather in the video, I'd bet.
*smh* Signed up for this ****...
Look, Mayweather is a ****, has no interest in anything other than preserving his bank account and perfect record at all cost, and hasn't the maturity of my 13 year old boy. He's also incredibly gifted/talented, and could, if he were to choose to do so, dominate the welterweight division in the fashion of Leonard and the like. He chooses not to, and that's fine, but along with taking the easy road, he gets to enjoy the lack of respect of most (if not all) serious and knowledgable fans of the sport of boxing. Maybe he'll change his ways, but I'm guessing not.
I'm not sure whether you're a big Money fan or not, but if you are, maybe you should sit yourself down and write down what you think he's actually accomplished in this sport, and then explain how he's made you believe he's accomplished those things. I think that after you're finished, your list will be shortened significantly.Comment

Stickman, the JMM thing never ceases to amaze me. they were 4 lbs apart at the weigh in. Any other added weight afterward is completely legal and defensible. Just pure good preparation, planning and tactics. Yes, May was +2 lbs over the limit, and if this is such a deplorable breach of morality, then JMM and his handlers shouldn't have agreed to the contract rewrite. But they barreled forward, didn't they?
I still consider it JMM's fault for wanting to up his weight, and so fast. You wanna play with the big dogs, well it has a price. He should have waited to allow his body to acclimate itself to his new weight, but he didn't. He rushed headlong into his embarrassing one-sided doom. Its his own damn fault. He didn't give May the proper respect leading into and even accepting/pushing for the fight, which was foolish. Floyd was smaller than Oscar in their fight, but the difference was palpable because Floyd's preparation was superior. Always is.
Look, I am not just a fan, or even just a boxing aficionado .. I lace up the gloves from time to time and get in there against dudes with bad intentions and meager bank accounts. I am yes, in awe, of May's defensive skills. I actually have incorporated a couple of his moves into my own repertoire and they have helped me in tough spots.. Any boxer that goes in there and puts himself at risk in the ring can appreciate May's skills, true story. Its only those that don't know what it is to be hit, to have a cracked rib or a broken nose, that think defense is "*****". What dumb asses.
To say Floyd hasn't accomplished anything is just... well I don't understand that statement, quite frankly. To let your personal feelings of the man justify an attempt to undermine his accomplishments is weird to me. Whether he is or isn't a **** is irrelevant as hell. Look at what he does in the ring, the rest is just hype.Comment

That was a well thought out and intellegent response. I appreciate your post although I disagree with it. Boxing is getting taken to the cleaners because of fighters like Floyd. you got hundreds of pros out there that you and I have never heard of trying to get a crumb of the table of fighters like Floyd. It aint Floyd fault it aint Shanes fault it is because the sport of boxing has becomea bunch of cowbys dictating who and where they fight and at what catch weight. Going after money there is no more pride in the game no more I want to be the best. he claims he is the best well then fight the best. Fight the best fighters at your weight class and beat them. DO what you say you can do. I think max went a little hard on FMJ but I think in a round about way alot of people enjoyed it. Seeing him get his card pulled in front of everybody out there. I would have been happy if Floyd would just be honest and say "Well max I am all about Money that is why My Name is Money Mayweather. I am the best out there no one can beat me. No one has beat me yet. If they put up enough money I will fight Shane but right now the biggest fight out there is against Paquiao I want Pacquiao and that 8 figure pay day. People say he is the best and I want to prove I am the best so I have to beat him." That would have been a smart intellegent answer true or not but a good answer non the less more honest than I don't want to talk about money or my team makes those decisions blah blah blah....Even if he just said NO I AINT FIGHTING SHANE I DONT WANT TO BECAUSE I GOT BETTER THINGS TO DO I WANT A BIGGER PAY DAY AND KEPT IT SHORT AND SWEET!!! It is what it is Money's mouth gets his ass in trouble with the media and the fans. He has a certain arrogance that is unlike Ali's he answers questions too quick and he don't think before he says ish. He is highly skilled in the ring and I am sure he makes smart business decisions behind the scenes. But I think this time he needs to step up and do something for the fans not Shanes fans but his fans his lil crew here the Mafia and the sport of boxing and take a little less money a nice risk and fight Shane Mosley.....Lefty
Thing is, as you say, the game is all about money. And you admit that it isn't May's fault. I agree. I think every area of society is becoming more materialistic as we go. Its a natural progression that seems to feed on itself. Why blame Floyd for riding the wave of society's narcissism? I don't, at all. I actually admire his resilience despite all the adversity he's been through.
I get the feeling a lot of his persona is calibrated for the most views. Floyd is calculating, and a brilliant tactician. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if he is the exact opposite of what he portrays.
But that's a sideline. As to answering a question: think of a politician. Do they ever answer something straight? No. Floyd is very much so a politician, because he realizes, at his level of the game, everything is political. If he had answered as you wanted him to, people would have come out the next day saying "Oh Floyd cares nothing about the sport, only money." Or, "Floyd didn't give Mosley his proper respect." And so on and so forth. The irony is, people said that anyway! But perhaps, not as many because Floyd gave no definitive answers. If, he keeps that level of mystery and controversy primed, then PPV's will soar. And the occasional boxing fanatic will hate, yes, lamenting about a simpler, more pure and "in your face" time during the sport.Comment

Shane happen to be in the ring because he is part of the obni-uni-promotions of the Golden Girl as is Hopkins, JMM and a few other fighters, they are a team. Fighters use to call out other fighters all the time back in the days. Floyd is a ***** for the mere fact that he was saying Shane had 5 loses and that Shane did not deserve to fight him. Why didn't Floyd talk **** then? Shane was right there. Floyd peed on himself. Floyd was not being gracious at all. Of course he was not going to talk much trash about a midget coming from 135 to 147. I knew Floyd was going to beat up the little midget so there was no real need to talk trash. Floyd would have had to been an idiot to talk trash about the pee pee drinking midget.
Bottom line is Floyd got called out and he peed all over himself. Thank God we did not get to hear Floyd talk about how great he is because he beat up a midget.

if they tax thing is verified (i apoligize if i was wrong, but the truth is, why would i know this- why would anyone care??) then why is it relevant and why does it matter to people? the only way any boxing fan could care about someone owing back taxes- a very boring controversy if you ask me- is that they honestly have hate for someone, and will find the most useless thing to use, with glee and excitement, to "use against" a fighter. is that the best Floyd haters have got? tax stuff?Comment

He did something just as bad in most peoples opinion. Floyd on the night of the Pacquiao/Hatton bout tried to steal the show by announcing his return to the ring.

It's amazing what speaking respectfully and disagreeing with people can get you. You see, someone just sent me a message to inform me what the Red K means and why I've got it. Because I disagree with other people. What an amazing era we're living in.Comment
