You got the wrong video War Room.

That was no fan. He was the ref for an Hrgovic and Zhang. If Joshua won that fight he would have been 1 and 1 for the night. I believe Joshua did have harsh words with a fan on his final exit from the ring. Maybe he could have gone 2 and 1.

Boxers are usually not right in the head, especially after a fight, especially after a loss.

Fans need to understand boxers and MMA fighters aren't regular athletes, they're not normal. These guys get hit in the head for a living, so you can't expect them to be right in the head 100% of the time. Most fighters also had some sort of tough upbringing and they are not going to react the same as some regular nice Ball player to what they think is fans heckling them.

"Way to keep it professional", could have sounded sarcastic to AJ, it did to me and I wasn't the one who just came off of getting my head hit for 36 minutes

I know it's hard to wrap your head around, but yes, boxers are usually emotional train wrecks and suffer from small brain damage early in their life. Hence all the trouble boxers get themselves into. A lot of them, and I don't have a number, are also not academically educated. Their education usually comes from a smelly gym full of sweaty men punching them in the head and lots of shouting going on.

I always felt that interviewing fighters immediately after a fight was a bit unfair, particularly for the losing fighter. You are in a state of high adrenalin, just got punched in the face a few dozen times, and trying to cope with the disappointment of a crushing loss. These are emotionally charged conditions for anyone. I do think AJ should just have brushed off the fan shouting out comments. I always admired his class and humility in the past, but he is showing a more vulnerable and weak side of his character and personality after his two recent losses. We'll see what comes out of his mouth in the ensuing weeks/months ahead as he has a chance to digest his loss and regroup. Hopefully he doesn't go the Wilder route of endless and very pathetic excuses.

I don't care if he was the president of Mumbai, he was giving positive advice like a fan to AJ and AJ thought he was taking the piss. Smarten up kid.
